How to Officially Make Mythics Fun:

I would be shocked if Blizzard developers are not familiar with/using Discord, but I don’t think they need any special privileges or anything.

Discord already has an API for connecting with it. Blizzard can just hook into existing systems.

What exactly does Discord/Blizzard integration entail?

Are their examples of this in other games?

Honestly curious.

To answer the op, I already find mythic to be fun and engaging. Delves were made to be something new for those that didn’t want to rush and use lives instead.

Its not, its down from before they added delves and condensed the system down, but I’d honestly see that as a positive overall, people who didn’t really want to play m+ aren’t forced into.

M+ overall though this season has had one of the most stable seasons ever and most people seem to be enjoying it.

This thread is moving too fast. I am eating a bowl of cereal.

Everyone please stop posting until I return.

Heck, let them play like that. Hurts nobody.

I actually do that from time to time in a solo delve (oh sorry can’t forget you Brann) and it feels good from time to time.

Sure.
Earn points by making risky big pulls.
Earn points by pushing big numbers.
Earn points by handling mechanics correctly and not dying.

Oh, that’s basically how M+ already works. Points = seconds on the clock.

I wanna know HOW you know other people who took a 3 minute bathroom break and a smoke break at the time time.

That would be super hilarious.

i’ve lost keys to our tanking needed to poop lol

Also could do checkpoints they had them in racing games.

I think my question here would be if people who dislike it more or less don’t push high ish level keys. Like 10s and up. At a point it starts changing, the routes change, the techniques become different. It evolves the more you do and I like that a lot about it.

The resilient keys have allowed me to hop into keys I’d never be invited to before. Go into a 16 and rinse and repeat every time we die. There isn’t so much content like this that you can bang your head against for hours with a small group of friends.

Lower level keys can feel very stressful when people don’t know or do mechanics or interrupt. I think it ruins the experience for a lot. Delves are great right now as a relaxing instance. I think that can be improved on to be more for players if they want it to be.

Not something you can really judge I guess, can only go by stats not feelings haha.

Though resilient keys have shown that people are willing to push higher than before them, more keys are getting run beyond reward level than ever before

I started Mythics I think at the end of SL.

What were Resilient Keys?

They’re new for season 2 of TWW, when you do all 12s on time your key can’t drop below 12s, and then 13s, 14s, and so on

The odds for what will be better?

What determines whether you can advance to a higher level? Just completion?

It definitely is.

It’s never been easier to climb and people still don’t play it

It’s past it’s expiration date…we need a new thing

This is what’s funny about posts like the OP, there are plenty of people who enjoy Mythic+ for what it is. I’ve always found complaints about the timer to be strange.

The time constraint is what makes it fun. You’re pushing yourself to perform well and beat the timer. It gives the dungeon stakes and makes it interesting and fun.

If you find yourself consistently in groups that can’t time a dungeon, that’s a clear indicator that you need to look to improve. Maybe you could use a flask and potions, maybe you have to be more mindful of interrupts/stuns, maybe you have to work on your rotation and cooldown usage. The timer provides that instant feedback of either you were good enough, or you weren’t.

Mythic+ is meant to be an end game pillar, and thus, there has to be some challenge. The timer is the easiest way to accomplish that, and for many players, it’s what they like the most about it.

I’d rather they just do away with affixes altogether as they’ve done with 12+. Taking on the challenge of the dungeon and its mechanics has been so much more fun than having to contend with obnoxious mechanics designed to annoy.

I think they should make the dungeons shorter. Have maybe 1 or 2 bosses per dungeon. Cut the length of the dungeon in half. I honestly think that would help tremendously with a lot of issues mythic+ has.

Faster queues for dps which seems to be a huge problem with supply and demand due to shorter dungeons, people aren’t out as much time if a key bricks, less mechanics to master per dungeon, just overall less overwhelming and more accessible if the dungeons aren’t as long.

The only thing it lost was the people who never even went past 9 in the old system that went to 20 for rewards.

Overall this season and its retention have been amazing. More people are pushing than ever
