How to nerf/fix DH

Before I reroll dh because well let’s face it. If you can’t beat em, join em. I wonder how they could be nerfed to make them playable and competitive, but not the god like level they are currently.

In their current state they are actually ridiculous. Somethings gotta give. Let’s be constructive as a community folks.

Make veng DHs able to take more damage.
Also give them 3 uses of spikes instead of 2 to allow for greater uptime.

I’ve been seeing more and more people give up and start playing one.

It’s only a matter of time.

You play a druid, can do every roll in the game from one toon. The only thing Demon Hunters have in common with god, is after they die…a spirit raises them from the dead. Nice little network of making a new Demon Hunter hate thread everyday. Not the best at doing damage, not the best in pvp, not the best in M+, not the best healer…and etc. Your playing a toon that has 2 of the best specs in the game in Boomkin and Resto. Lets be constructive as a community and say, Demon Hunter are a well rounded spec as Havoc. Its in the athlete corner,…good at a little of everything but not the best at anything.

DH is more fun to play than other classes…let’s make it less fun.

WoW socialism.

The Demon Hunters and Death Knights are actually Heroes. The young and old in Azeroth look to the Heroes for hope in an otherwise dreary world.

You can call them ridiculous, but we need those ridiculous Heroes to sell more Collector’s Editions.

Remove immunity from Fel Rush.
Remove AoE stun as part of the default rotation.

I’d look to change the soul rending talent to offer around 12% leech baseline. So up from 10% outside of meta but down from 20% during meta.

It’s a little less interesting than having different leech values depending on the form but it probably isn’t right for a spec’s major burst CD to also make them as tanky as meta does. They have enough mobility to get out of dodge, they don’t really need to be as hearty as they are on top of it.

And yeah, a low cooldown rotational ability (blade dance) could maybe not make them immune to physical abilities too. I want to unplug my computer whenever I miss a kidney shot to that. :unamused:

Reduce leech during meta. That is it.

The rest of the issue is due to PVE tank trinkets which all other classes are abusing as well.

There is no immunity from Fel Rush DC, at least you can still sprint to your heart’s content :stuck_out_tongue:

They have to add buttons to the dh rotation in order to alter the class. Until then, have fun rolling a dh.

I like DH. Especially when they do that fly high up in the air thing. All the free and clear shots my hunter gets to take at them make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside lol.

#nodhchanges

They can keep all their utilities but their dmg is reduced proportionally to how OP everything else they do is. So they’ll do about 7k dps on a good day.

Only thing that annoys me is the immunity frames. Other than that their cleave is way too high for it to also be their single target rotation.

They have to take more skill. Currently just about anyone can play a DH optimally.

The same can be said about a back pedaling hunter

Historically hunters were one of the highest skill cap classes in the game, but BM had one of the lowest skill floors. You’d be hard-pressed to find a class that takes a lot skill to master in BfA but DH is the worst offender by far.

Remove the dodge on blade dance, give blur a 2 minute cooldown, double the GCD on rain from above, make it an actual magic attack so it can be countered. Halve the haste bonus from the eye beam azerite trait. Halve their leech.

I am not sure.

You could tell the difference between a well played BM versus a newbie BM in WotLk.

But yeah DHs that know what they are doing I can count on one hand or two.

Yes that would be due to the high skill ceiling. Skill floor would be how easy a class is to pick up and start to do well with. The lower it is, the sooner you can start killing people.
