How to improve content besides M+,Raids, ranked PvP?

What happened to World Content , Casual content over the years?

I’m mostly a mount collector, so i try to get into every kind of content and I already provide some feedback before on PTR forums and other platforms but it’s probably ignored, just like the Community council that was unfortunately promoted like a solution to the feedback issues from Dev team and the barriers with the community besides content creators.

Some of my ideas even before 9.2 on the PTR forums were about wrong designs IMO, that should be changed for good on next iterations like 10.0.

* World Quest:

Since legion expansion WQ are just focus on the current expansion, at least for me that doens’t make sense from a point of view that WoW has a big world that could use new reputations and mechanics attached to Worldquest around the whole game, so players will go back to old zones on a weekly or even daily basis.

Also, the rewards for WQ have a big issue with rewards , during the expansions the ilvl changes depending on some factors but then stops in next patches without any improvement, Gold, AP (Artifact power or Azerite) changed the world content into a chore which shouldn’t be like that, Anima took a cosmetic design but it has obvious issues due to the massive grind and the split of covenants into 4 and player power/ rpg issue with covenants decision.

All these rewards which also came in 9.1 as part of Dailies on Korthia has a major flaw : RNG component, a lot of players just do this kind of content for the reputations and some paragon rewards, but it could be an evergreen system on which the player could target goals. While doing Korthia content on 9.1, I got dailies that only provided anima when my character needed relics for the reputation or sometimes relics when i want anima,that RNG element hurts the game IMO.

Instead of provided random rewards among : gear pieces that you don’t longer need, gold, anima…etc just change those into a single currency that could be used to buy your specific gear, upgrade gear, bags of materials…etc

At this point of the expansion, I don’t get why Devs added something like this

Behind a weird grind during a specific calling, instead of adding pocket portals for anima or as a reward from WQ, the split zone design really impacted the whole game.

TLDR: Worldquest should be expanded to the whole game, provide target rewards and remove the vision that these are just a reputation measure.

These can become the replacement for the mission table as a source of materials, gold…etc with a more interactive aproach.

Some players will mention that practically, just 1 single currency with choice for how to spend it will become the game in some kind of job but it’s optional and you could do it at any time while waiting for queues, guild members for raid night…etc and get rewards.

* World PvP:

During Legion we got a better approach with some spots that provided a fun way to fight each other not matter the faction for a reward or during BFA the assault mechanics and box drops provided an incentive, even the assasin mechanic was promoted better with titles and challenges that could be part of SL.

IMO, World pvp rewards could help with the flaws on the honor prestige system, maybe some ways to earn big chunks of honor , so eventually Devs must add new rewards for 500+ honor levels. (Prestige honor system forgotten after BFA pre patch).

* Seasonal Content / Holidays:

Ask yourselves, when was the last time that you got excited for an holiday event?

  • Pvp Brawls were announced during Blizzcon 2016, so far we don’t have pvp brawls for holidays, compared to other games that change some mechanics during a season.

Why WoW can’t have a warsong with snow and some mechanics like a snowball that teleports you to your enemy or some pumkins during Halloween that could blind your target…etc, I already provided plenty of ideas before about this.

  • New questlines?

All the seasonal events provide an opportunity to create fun questlines that aren’t linked to the main story…Devs could create even more inclusive stories there and provide a reward or just the experience of do it.

  • Holiday Worldquest:

During holidays besides the existing methods to acquire currency, Devs could create WQs around the whole world with new bosses,rares, activities related to the holiday.

  • New Dungeons:

When was the last time that Blizzard added something like the Crown Chemical Company, Ahune or Headless Horseman? Devs should consider that dungeons aren’t only a method for M+, those could be used to tell a story and provide a challenge, also considering the RNG element of the rewards, a lot of collectors doesn’t want another 0.003% drops witha bad rotation.

* Other features like:

  • Brawlers guild: It could have had Shadowlands fights at this point Holiday bosses…etc

  • Mage Tower: As a permanent green feature now, we could have had a second or third boss fight by now.

The whole S4 just shows that Blizzard doesn’t have a good communication with the player base even with the promoted council mechanic and that they don’t care about some aspects of the game, IMO.

S4 could had provided:

  • Sandworm tokens to upgrade sandworm gear or worldquest gear

  • A questline or some sort of path to upgrade worldquest ilvl.

  • Clear participation rewards on the world and LFR.

Class quest chains.

At this point every expansion should have had a class side quest, even in war (bfa) or death realm (Shadowlands), there’s space for class halls stories

Because they aren’t challenging and literally anyone can do them, and since anyone can do them easily at not a long dragged out pace there is no profit in it. Not only is there no profit for quick consumable content but there’s no benefits of people buying wow tokens to get carries though content they can solo themselves. Its all about appeasing the investors, getting bobby his next yacht, and sitting on a pile of gold like gallywix at his pleasure palace while everyone below the top management can be whipped around like low wage slaves Ahem I mean privileged workers since Blizzard is such a legendary company to work for.
