Remove Warforging/Titan Forging/Random tertiary stats. There should only be one version of your item.
Remove LFR and go back to a simple normal and heroic version of raids/dungeons. There’s too many modes and all this clutter leads to a bad experience.
Make all raids 10 or 25 man again. Remove “hybrid” and “flex” raiding completely. If there is a raid it should have one single amount of players that can come to it like in BC or Wrath.
Implement hard lockouts. Too many raid sales and dungeon sales, not enough people playing the game. Make it so you lock out after one boss. This will stop these ridiculous sales for the most part and force players to take community and guild raiding seriously overall revitalizing the community in wow.
Remove catchup mechanics. If you fall behind you need to play the game through. It’s silly to trivialize all the content you make just to get new/lazy people to catch up to content they didn’t care enough about to grind up to in the first place.
Allow flying after max level. Pathfinder is a horrible experience. I’m going to do dailies and all that regardless, and get the max reps so why punish me by telling me I gotta do this grind stuff before I can get flying in a later patch?
Only insecure elitist garbage who can’t stand someone getting 1-2 pieces of TF close to mythic ilvl or above complain about forged gear. It isn’t game breaking and has more to do with someones validation than their progression.
Maybe if population wasn’t plummeting but both my mythic guilds have nearly folded because every raid it’s a tedious challenge to fill a group. We end up wasting an hour pugging the few spots we’re missing.
Not with that attitude, thing is no genre really dies for a while platforming ruled the roost, then fighting titles, following FPS,RPGs,MMOs,etc. Just be wise Fortnite is Fad of the Month doesn’t mean the MMO genre will somehow die,the genres of games still sell fairly well despite the trends and MMOs can still do well if handled ideally. The only way it wouldn’t succeed is if people only cared about the fad and ONLY the fad genres but would they really wanna pander to people who treat gaming like a fashion statement at the risk of alienating the player majority who play games regardless if the genre is “in style” or a “faux pas”.
WoW is still pretty populated regardless of what the naysayers say, people still play HotS despite the claim MOBAs are “so yesterday” and enjoy Starcraft despite the story being done for now and Overwatch is actually growing in numbers rather than dying [only people that say its dying have no proof outside of youtubers who were just salty their mains were nerfed ]
Games can thrive nicely just as long as people don’t fall into the trend of appealing to fairweather gamers who only play a game based solely on how popular it is.
I can only get one of 3 of my age appropriate kids to play for free (I pay). 17 year old daughter not interested, 15 year old daughter plays, 10 year old boy not interested. They are more interested in role playing in Roblox.
My 4 year old likes watching YouTube videos of other kids playing with toys he already has. When he gets older, I’ll see what he thinks.
I think more research on your part needs to be done to attract WoW back to 12 million. In my opinion, your list won’t suffice.
3c) they removed master looter because of the tools who used it to “ninja” gear - don’t see it coming back
No one did this, it hurt everyone and helped no one. It took me eight weeks to get my first uldir azerite piece, I went from first to close to dead last dps in my raid group as I watched the rest of my raid gain almost 10% of their main stat over me. There were people with 2 and 3 pieces while me and one other had zero. They didn’t want that, it hurt our whole raid, my usefulness went down every week. This is the worst lie that comes out of peoples mouths that somehow master looter was a bad thing. This game is awful compared to how it was in this past, this makes wod look like heaven. I have lost all hope of blizzard turning things around and the only thing I do now is farm gold to store up cash in case they come out with a new game I want to buy. Because I am never giving them real money again.
Ever since the mass pruning in WoD and the spec pruning in legion I haven’t enjoyed this game at all. I hate having barebones classes that have to rely on azerite/artifacts to feel good.
Not to talents and pvp talents taking a massive amount of the baseline toolkit and making you choose between stuff you had already. Not having demonic circle, shadowburn(actual shadowburn not conflag 2.0), backdraft, curses, etc baseline feels awful.
I miss classes being fun and actually playing with a keyboard instead of a tablet.
mmos are slowly becoming obsolete because people have less and less time to devote to them, it has nothing to do with fads. it doesn’t even really have to do with paying for a sub.
if mmos were really growing, then we would see game populations growing with more studios willing to invest long term into the genre.
instead we are seeing more of them dwindling, trying to cash in on ftp or outright shutting down. you need to really go back and read what i actually said instead of interjecting what you think i said.
Hehehe, I had a DK during Wrath that I went about halfway down the tree in all 3 trees, sort of a jack-of-all-trades sorta deal. Maybe not trades, but mouldering blood-soaked rimehorrors. Yes, she was a jack-of-all-mouldering-blood-soaked-rimehorrors.
I’m casual. I hate that I can’t fly. It does nothing but block what I’ve already unlocked in so many other expansions. Also, raid sales aren’t for the casual player. They are so gold farmers can buy everything up. I don’t know any casuals w/ millions of gold to blow on that crap.
