Genuine question because I struggle with this: When your pulling a large group of trash, how do you keep them together? I always get casters who linger behind and free cast (and then no one interrupts). There’s not always a wall to LoS when pulling either. I’ve been struggling with perfecting it. For example, on a Prot Paladin, you can just Avenger Shield/ Divine Toll to Interrupt everything at once and they just follow and makes it easier to gather all the trash together. How does one do this with Guardian?
On a side note: people are terrible at interrupting in PuGs. I do the AoE interrupt and skull bash, but then I see all sorts of missed interrupts (also why I like Divine Toll). Does this get better with higher keys? As in, better players?
Yeah… I hate this.
Sometimes I’ll actually run toward the caster, Skull Bash when I’m in range, then run back to the pack, hoping that the caster doesn’t start casting something else before he gets to the pack.
My suggestion for years has been a return (and redesign) of Insect Swarm. You cast Insect Swarm, which surrounds the caster with an 8yd radius of insects. Mobs cannot target into or out of the swarm, basically manufacturing a LoS condition and forcing casters to move into range. Lasts 6 seconds and has a 1 minute CD.
I also suggested it should be only castable in Bear Form and could be a “Gas Cloud” emitted by the Bear. Same effect with different “flavor”.
Indeed they are.

Bear really should have like faerie fire back as a long cooldown ranged silence for grouping, i think it and brew are the only tanks without some secondary interrupt now, but at least they have a teleport, RoP and paralysis to stall/move a caster if they cant interrupt.
Usually though as bear i just try to be very aware of the nearest LoS point and ping it so people know where to stand if possible. Or make sure the group had a ranged interrupt or dk before signing up so they can bring one or two of them in.
Had a group today in vale sp/mage/warlock and they were able to kick to bring mobs in the first/last pulls and even do a 3 fear-mob pull where they had to rotate aoe ccs because their kicks are such long cds. all random players not in vc or anything, so i’d say yes its just luck of the draw.
generally pulls don’t have multiple casters that you need to gather without LoS, like that’s extremely specific criteria. i think in the room after first boss in fang, i usually pull the first caster and kick it and drag to the second, then when my kick is back up i’ll pull the third and kick it - so i guess chain pulling casters when u can’t rely on other people kicking is a good idea.
