How to fix ret pallies.

1. Make steed have two charges by default. Change the now defunct talent to instead make steed last for 10 seconds after the initial 3 seconds but only at 30% speed.

There, mobility is fixed.

2. Make crusader strike cleave. For AE, feral was weak from lack of combo spender--ret needs a combo builder. Buff damage of divine storm a bit.

Should now no longer be bottom of barrel for 2+targets nor feel so clunky in ae, fixed.

3. Profit.

I like the idea of steed having 2 charged by default. It should be this way already imo.

Just give Ret HotR back so we can choose to cleave or single target as builder.

I know I've said it before, just give us steed of glory for rets...mobility solved and pvp utility added

to fix our cleave just bring consecration baseline (tweak numbers to have it on a 10 second cd reduced by haste), get rid of that divine judgement weird talent and maybe use the new azerite trait instead to have some divine storm procs.

they will never change our mobility, just face it. they will never bring anything like turalyons might, never.

now, we could use divine hammer, and empowered ds again, that would at least address one of our biggest issues that is cleaving / aoe.

We do have a blessing for that that can be cast during steed. Not ideal but it also means we can use it without using a steed charge. It's not ideal for me but it adds some sort of flavor.

Only problem with that is it can be dispelled/spell stolen.
Still will look terrible tho. Also won't work without snare immunity.
Give Divine Hammer back, instead of the stupid over-stacking BOW where we always have too much !@#$ at once and take Crusader Strike's Cool Down away.

%^-* Steed it should be prot only and have the chains come off it that round up mobs like the Crusader from D3

Give Ret a proper intercept / teleport ability (Falling Sword would be best).

Your fixes aren't strong enough for arena pvp. A bit of extra cleave damage isn't going to do anything. It would need a single target buff + legion quality cleave.

No, to fix ret mobility you just need to remove steed completely. Trash ability.

Add long arm of the law back, and then give us emancipate. Literally take away Divine steed and put it in the dumpster where it belongs.
Personally I am not a fan of divine steed. Simply moving fast is not going to help us when we're getting thrown halfway across the room. What we need is some sort of movement negating effect. A charge or a leap would be ideal. I mean let's look through all the melee.. Rogue's have a "move fast", but they also have a gap closer (grappling hook). Warriors have charges and leaps. DHs have... everything under the son. Kitties have a leap and sprint (and blink?). Surv hunters have disengage. I'll be honest, I don't know about Monks with their torpedo thing. Not sure if it breaks movement impairments like a knockback. The only other class that suffers real mobility issues are Death Knights, but they by FAR can make up for that with their damage output. Ret Paladins are sitting at the very bottom of the barrel with very awful mobility.

Edit: Hold the phone. Death's Advance (DK ability) makes them immune to knockback. So we are actually the only ones. So not only are we performing lowest, but we have the worst movement ability... Awesome.

This right here, just get rid of Steed and give us back our old mobility. It wasn't OP, we know it wasn't OP because no one ever complained about it despite us having it for many expansions, it was unique, it was our flavor, and it just worked.

Steed Charge + Draw and Quarter

make this into the Divine Steed talent for Prot and Falling Sword into the the Divine Steed talent for Ret (Ret would be a replacement)

this idea has been tossed around for years.

we even had something similar in a build that was talked about.

don't think it's ever going to happen.
