How to fix mythic+ overnight

Agree with everything but the dmg scaling part. Maybe bump it to +15 then DMG increase stops.

No, they already gutted M+ enough by removing all of the actual affixes. Making them scale in HP only sounds extremely boring.

As someone who hates M+, but has read dozens of these threads.

Just smooth out the difficulty curve, and improve lower level key rewards.

As it is, my Delver self can walk into a 2-4 and nothing lives long enough to learn the dungeons. I walk into a 7 and I brick the key because I don’t know what I’m doing

Make low keys worth doing. Or make it like Delves. Can’t queue for a 7 if you haven’t time a 6.

Just because I have the gear, doesn’t mean I have the experience to do high keys. But as a tank, I can be lazy and skip keys because people don’t check and see if I’m bad.

It’s a little on them, but mostly on me for skipping keys.

TLDR - don’t let us skip key levels on the way up. Force us to learn before we can queue for higher stuff.

It worked for Delves, might work for M+.

Kills carries though, not sure how people would feel about that.

I don’t agree.

My proposals:

  • Remove defensive for DPS (they don’t use them anyway).
  • Soften learning curve: levels +2 to +9 like old style (linear curve) but +10 and beyond make it exponential. You can get happy casuals and happy hardcore this way.
  • Move the brick wall to +10 (related to previous point) with challengers perish there (let challengers deals with challengers affix, and casuals with casuals ones).
  • Give an option to have a death counter instead of a Timer, but remove this and keep just Timer on +7.

They just need another path to progress with dungeons. Let the competitors flex there rating without locking the rest if us out of progression. Make heroics what they used to be and make them H+. No one cared about rating or meta because a bad team members could be replaced without destroying the run. This is a social game and there really needs to be proper pug progression. Let those that want to rush and play meta have there Mythics.

Remove timer means they need a new failure check. More than 5 deaths and the key is bricked.

Yeah pressing 1 button before a telegraphed AoE is too hard. And 1 button is totally a rotation.

Imagine thinking a telegraphed aoe is the only damage worth using a defensive on.

Also, if you don’t have a plan for each boss fight and most pulls for all of your defensives (plural, not one) you’re dead. So add that up over 8 dungeons.

Pressing 1 button in response to an ability every 30 seconds does not a rotation make.

Considering you’ve never touched a key, I wouldn’t expect you to understand.

Considering you think you only need a defensive every 30 seconds, it’s safe to say you indeed do only play classic and have never touched a key.
