How to Fix Faction Imbalance

horrible horrible solution.

Here is my solution: stop being greedy for better racials and roll alliance or shut up and don’t complain about your queue time you greedy rats.

Those racials are the root of the problem and need to be addressed. A faction not being able to PvP without absurd wait times is MUCH WORSE for the game than a couple racials being slightly weaker.

… Or just do what Aion original did. When a server became too lopsided, they simply locked creation of new characters of said populated faction on it. I think it was something like 60/40.

Did this suck for friends who wanted to play on your faction? Yeah, kinda, but it was healthier for the server balance since that game had a fair amount of open world PVP.

No. Absolutely not. This is part of the game and part of the deal you sign up for when you roll on a PvP server.

How many times has this stupid idea been debunked? Go read the threads ffs.

None of these options you list in the OP are good solutions. #2 will get a lot more fotm rerollers to horde than you will see rolling alliance for queues. Kinda makes you think about how green the grass really is on which side.

This was literally every thread in phase 2.

I enjoy your long queues and hope they extend this to arenas.

Like ive bene saying Alliance players dont have an argument, they dont even have any facts.

They want to deny the obvious need for Merc mode because of pettiness and your post proves it.

I’ve read lots of empty arugments from Alliance players who hew and cry and yet present no evidence or facts

Merc Mode would be great for all players and the game, end of discussion.

Exactly which has absolutely nothing to do with WPvP, Pvp Servers and is entirely unconnected to BG’s in which Merc Mode would bring nothing but good

I’m not the one asking for Warlords of Draenor to be added to Classic TBC.

Dual Spec would be awesome, but since this was early in the next expansion they won’t add it.

AoE looting was added in panda expansion, that’s why we don’t get it here.

Looking for Dungeon queuing was added in WotLK that’s why we don’t get it here.

Transmog and Reforging existed in cata, that’s why we don’t have it here.

The general idea is that features which defined the expansion aren’t added to earlier expansions for that reason.

Your just looking at this in a vacuum and wanting the solution you want that fixes your issue only.

Queue times are just one of the symptoms of faction imbalance. One of the reasons I think Alliance are so passionate about this is that while end game horde complain “they can’t play the game” it’s been like that for alliance ever since you reach 20 and hit a contested area

Your solution just solves your tiny issue and doesn’t do anything about the larger issue of faction imbalance at all.

To be fair we already have a WoD feature with level boosts. I know it was technically put in at the tail end of MoP but it was right when preorders started for WoD so I’ll count it as a WoD feature. Merc Mode would be a TERRIBLE idea though as it will kill off the Alliance slowly but surely.

Faction balance isn’t a problem.

Then don’t complain about the Queue times if you feel that wait, they are directly correlated

Did you mean to reply to me?

The answer is so simple: AI alliance bots. They’ll just sit at the graveyard until the game ends. You won’t even know it’s not a real player and there will be instant queue for everyone.

Oh, you’re one of those people.

Other then the fact that retail bgs all alliance players are mostly horde mercs. Which does effect pvp because it’s mostly undergeared horde just making massive gear imbalance.
All merc mode did on retail was put alliance in a infinite loop of farming phase, while horde is already getting geared, and casually waiting 10mins to just destroy alliance.

So ban pvp

But Seal of Blood for Alliance was just fine amiright?
