I think you have some good ideas here already. I wouldn’t be surprised if more than one method could be used at once. It might be easier now than ever to have people that are not exactly experts to do it too since the Sha are diminishing in power since the Heart is gone. At least your risk of dying has gone down and chance of succeeding has probably gone up a fair bit.
