Darkmoon Faire should be our Gold Saucer.
Permanent. With event minigames. Parkour! And tons of rewards.
WellâŚnow that you mention it: Iâve noticed recently that the grounds crew at the DMF havenât been doing a very good job picking up trash. Maybe its time to implement a recycling center and award gold for cans and bottles players pick up and recycle to a recycling center.
Also, I have never understood why they changed the draughts players get from fishing to soul bound. Use to spend a bit of time each month fishing for these as they sold fairly well for a bit of gold at the AH.
I like a few of the do-able games (for me) and love the roller coaster for the exp and rep buff and go to the fair primarily for this buff and earn tickets to purchase the top hat that does same.
Would I like to see more difficult challenges, puzzles and games for the players that want this, absolutely !! Anything to keep this game alive.

A nice Bumper Car ride would fit nicely under one of those tents.
Or a version of the PvP animal ride from Stormheim.
And definitely having more rewards would be great but maybe rotate them out to to keep people interested in coming back.
Adding more toys, mounts, battle pets and minigames would entice people to go. Maybe increase the tickets earned so the minigames that arenât the pet battles actually matter unless you are just grinding every single one out for optimal tickets
you remember all those minigame world quests they put in in Legion, and we havnt seen in 2 years?
Barrels of Fun, the hellraiser box puzzle, even save the turtles. Literally could be plunked down in DMF to add content.
Put more transmog options in, and DONT limit them to once a month for use!
Oh and make the darkmoon rabbit more accessable.
I would love to see a House of Mirrors/Fun House type dungeon or scenario available during DMF week. Purely cosmetic, somewhat random layout influenced by player choices
I like the idea of rotating rewards. I especially like the idea of adding more things for tickets. Maybe a new brutosaur mount (sans the AH) that we can buy for some ungodly amount of tickets. Nothing like the 5 mil! But maybe something doable that will still require attending a number of Faires and playing all the games.
Gonna go out on a limb, here, and ask the elephant in the room question.
Why do we need to have more people at Darkmoon Faire? As opposed to any of the other 15-year-old content in the game, I mean.
replace the tauren chieftains with a good band
It has potential for fun activities that are a break from the usual. Thatâs all, nothing sinister
Pearl Jam, obviously. We were both thinking that, right?
Right, but, we also have people asking for new pets/mounts/toys/whatever for Hallowâs End and Winter Veil and Valentineâs and even Noblegarden, too.
If they regularly throw new mounts/whatever at everything, we hit a point where nobody cares about mounts anymore because they have hundreds of them.
(In fact, for a lot of players, theyâre there already.)
You donât want new collectibles for either Holidays nor DMF then?
I donât particularly care, but to ask Blizzard to keep cranking out phenomenal amounts of rewards willy-nilly is going to get to a point where they arenât rewarding.
Iâm already there, with almost 600 mounts I donât really care when I get a mount, these days. I use it for 10 minutes and then never look at it again. I know plenty of people in the same situation.
Ditto for toys. Ditto for pets.
Blizzardâs going to hit a point where the vast majority of the playerbase has so many mounts/pets/whatevers that they donât care anymore.
And frankly, I have no idea what Blizzard is going to do when they hit that point. But theyâre probably not eager to hit it any time soon.
If you want to get people to go to the DMF try this:
Itâs open all the time.
Add a vendor that has mogs from old dungeons and it rotates very week.
I believe someone already mentioned defending the faire from attacks, which is a great idea.
Add a vendor that has rare tradeskill recipes/plan etc, maybe rotate them week to week.
Thereâs plenty that could be done, the real question is, will they actually do it? I doubt it.
Semper Fi!
Bumper cars.
SoâŚwhat then? What do we do? The event itself that I was suggesting seemed fun to me, and of course rewards.
Every patch is essentially a re-skin. Gear up, next patch, gear up again. Do we just get off the ride? Whatâs your suggestion?
I donât see it as a critical issue that there are not 500 people at the Darkmoon Faire. Thatâs all.
The critical issue is that like almost all of wow, there has been no forward movement in its area in years. Something needs to be added to keep it fresh. Same with the yearly holidays.
There has been no forward movement in getting people to Ragefire Chasm, either. Old content is old.
