I’ve healed Heroic like a billion times, so easy. No one ever dies, no one ever gets below 60% health even, and I never get below 80% mana. But I ran a Mythic tonight, and I died like 18 times and rage quit at the first boss.
What gives? My gear level is like 472 or something (very closed to maxed out at the 476 all Heroic gear level). This is my Monk, not my PVP Druid if he shows up as the poster.
How does one bridge the gap to make Mythic (not plus, must regular Mythic) doable?

mythic normal is the old +10 but removed timers
I think Blizz’s idea is, going forward with the new system, you get decked out in full Heroic gear (for ex: 476 in DF S4), upgrade your pieces a few time so each item is maybe 4 of 8, than start doing mythics and slowly replace your heroic items with vault and dungeon drops from M0 and low M+ keys.
Upgrading Heroic pieces only takes flight stones, so you should have enough to upgrade some pieces just from dungeons and world activities.
The difficulty jump from Heroic to M0 currently makes it feel like Blizz intends to for you to upgrade the heroic pieces before starting M0.
Wow Denndei, I didn’t even know about the upgrades. So using just those, that should make Mythic 0 doable? If that is the answer to bridge the gap, that makes sense. Thanks!
Yeah, you’re pretty low. But it’s definitely not impossible but you would have to try a little bit harder to heal people. You could run LFR and grab some more loot from there.
You bridge the gap by doing the mechanics correctly. You learn the mechanics by failing them enough times and learning from mistakes. You commit to making mistakes and learning from them because there is no shame in learning.
Heroic dungeons will not prepare you for mythic ones. They never did. Not when mythic was first introduced back in mop. Not when Heroic was first introduced back in tbc. There was never such a thing as a smooth difficulty curve, only a horrific beat down when the game told you, “you suck, do better.”
And people did do better. That’s why all of the classic re releases get massacred in mere hours after launching, gamers are incredibly resilient and clever when they mean to be. And we’ll continue to break the limits for as long as games are a thing.
You should try to find a community to join, a guild or discord group that does mythic+ that will be the fastest and best way to move beyond heroic dungeons.
Even if you upgrade your heroic gear to 8/8 it will not meaningfully bridge the gap when you are dependent on pugs.
It is clear to me that blizzard intends mythic0 to not be a simple step up from heroic anymore.

Maxed gear from Heroics is 489. 476 is base from Heroics.
You’re trying to jump without properly gearing up.
Given that, even at 472 you should be able to pass it. It just takes people doing the mechanics first and foremost

Before I returned I read forum that M0 is unprecedent difficulty,
now after playing a bit, its really nothing.
Many players are horrible at the game. You’re a +20 player, so you won’t really notice it.
do the weekly event and lfr for some 480 gear, and also play with better people tbh. Most people still sitting around 470ilvl are people who haven’t taken any time into gearing their character, and it’s reasonable to assume they have put an equally lacking time into learning how to play it also.
And +10 needed gear from +6ish…
Sigh, all they had to do was repeat season 3, remove every odd level and maybe even remove m0 since m0 and heroic dungeons fill the same space.

Harsh truth is that at 476 you could be doing way harder content, my advice is that you should practice your character and hope to get better. Read the Wowhead guide, read the icy-veins guide, join class discords and ask for help. Maybe watch a stream to see what people playing your class are doing.

Grizzle, thanks! I had assumed 476 was max from Heroics, because I got like 3 476 hands. How do you get it to drop higher gear? When you hit a certain Ilevel, does it just start dropping higher Ilevel? So glad Heroics drop higher stuff, not ready to go to Mythic yet, need to really learn the boss mechanics.

So 476 is the base that it drops.
You can go to an upgrade vendor and use flightstones to upgrade your gear up to 489
