Don’t assume my nuclear fall out status
Are you going to let them play WoW one day? and if so do you have an age range?
I was 38 (back in 2005) and was still somewhat healthy and capable reflex wise
Now I’m a miserable, slow moving old grump.
One day, for sure.
My mom knew nothing of MMO’s/the internet so I definitely ran into some weirdos as a female child/teen on the internet.
I play with my husband and our family/friends. I think he could play WoW when he’s around that age or maybe even a bit younger, I would just make sure it is always supervised and definitely turn off whispers and the such lol
24 in 2004, got my own account on January 1st 2005 a few days after and before my 25th birthday.
I was 13 back in late 2009, but it was just a few weeks before my birthday, so almost 14.
I think I was 21ish. It was during late TBC. I spent a couple years stomping around some private servers, before coming to retail when Wrath ICC patch 3.3 came out. So, I started retail when I was 23. Technically 24 since it was around my birthday.
As a zoomer… growing up almost completely unsupervised on the blossoming internet was… an experience.
In some ways I was able to reach out and form friends and community. Come to grips with aspects of my identity and self that would’ve been difficult in my small town. But in other ways… there was def trauma and unfun things there.
15 or so in cata. I’ll remember that night forever even though it wasn’t that special, but it gave me the same feeling I had when I started runescape back then.
I thought he was trying to type in some code. This exchange made me lol
.
I think I was 11 when I bought it (my parents bought it for me) couldn’t play it. then maybe I was 12 when I made my first characters testing out the different starting zones, races and classes. I believe my chosen “main” was a Dwarf hunter.
11 or 12. I didn’t do any real endgame content until I was 18 or so.
24 back in 2004.
Got the ring off that elf dude back when that was considered a good thing. What was that, 2005? In the 20’s then.
i think i was 15 years old.
i know I was in high school and i graduated when i was 17 so about 13-15 years old. all i remember was i mainly started WoW thanks to the south park episode; played mmorpg’s for a while prior just not WoW. I also didn’t really play steadily until i was 17 because my parents didn’t really believe in paying for subs. my dad hated the fact that i played video games he is more old school and my mom didn’t like paying for subs she was a 1 and done kind of person when it came to games meaning she liked buying them flat out. why? because i once subbed to RS on her card and never unsubbed for like a year.
It was totally epic at the time.
I was thirty years old when Vanilla launched.
24 or 25 i think. end of vanilla early bc era.
It was 2006 so that would be…
As the PhD in Mathematics grabs the calculator…
uh, about…52
25 when I started playing in early 2006 with 2 short breaks thrown in there. Do I regret it? Hell no! In my downtime I’d much rather play and be social, then veg on the couch starting at crappy reality tv.
I started in November of 2004 and I was 16 years old, I’m 34 now. Crazy to think I’ve been playing this game for 18 years, and the same character as well!! I’m going for the long haul!!
I was 20 back in wrath times.
