How Naga could be playable

If Ashmane can go from being totally human and into a fish monstrosity in a matter of seconds, probably more like a 10 minute transformation in game time, I say its entirely possible that the Naga who are less exposed to Void energies may regress faster than those super Naga.

That would be right up there for silly looks with Moonkins on a goat…

The fact they were flat out goblin models connects them to being goblins, so yes they’re fuzzy goblins

Old god corruption doesn’t work that way

Dwarves and gnomes would have turned back into stone/robots if it did

Naga are permeant naga

So not a problem then

Tuskar and tortollan don’t use panda rigs, so you’re wrong on that as well

Vulpera are modified goblins, just like several other ally races being modified races

scaly half-breed elves? We have those, they are called Zandalari trolls

Said 'cause y’all don’t know what a good thing looks like. The Kul druids are awesome Imho and the mechagnomes are fantastic looking. I love the shakey little things!!

Yea I don’t recall commenting on lore, I called them another goblin since they’re another goblin model

Does that mean Zandalari Trolls should be referred to Night Elves since that’s the rig they use?

Those are seperate rigs, hence no shared animations

So… Not naga, then.
They’d just be scaly sea elves.

IMO, defeats the purpose of wanting to play a sea serpent person. It’s just another flavor of elf which I’m pretty sure most people can agree we have plenty of already.

Here’s how we get playable naga: A group splits off from the weakened Azshara and joins with one of the factions, choosing to serve either Neptulon and joining the Horde or finding some kind of weird hamfisted Elune repentance and joining the Alliance.

Legs are a non-issue because they could just sit side-saddle on a mount, as compared to something like a centaur which has big horse lower-body. Alternatively, make them unable to use basic mounts and instead have a pair of their own for ground and flight that are made specifically to accommodate their tails. Also probably able to use the “standing” mounts like flying discs and magic carpets. Done.

Devs had stated before number of legs is not a limiting factor…

… is to be something anyone would actually want. Adding Naga would just give us another trash gnome level comedy option.

We have found the solution.

Yes, thats is right. No tail, no Naga.

Yes, they join the Horde! No real Naga want to serve into the Alliance.
Naga for the Horde, Trogg for the Alliance!

Naga and centaur would be pretty cool.

They also need to be a race one of the two factions would want to ally with, Naga doesn’t match that requirement. Each of the current allied races have a representative vouching for them. No one in either the Alliance or Horde would ever consider vouching for the Naga. They fit in the same category as Eredar. A race that would require something extremely catastrophic happening for anyone to ever consider trying to talk with them, let alone let any of them into the faction cities.

Yeah, I mean you could do something like this, perhaps:

Naga for Horde, Dryads/Keepers for Alliance.
