I guess what I was getting at is he spent a bunch of time and hype on saying it’s still free on PTR and that the blue post was wrong…without evidence. I understand it’s still free on PTR, but the current state of PTR doesn’t tell us if Blizzard intends on sticking a currency requirement and an SL riding skill in the game prior to release.

Guy : looks confused “Ooookay. Here.” Hands token back
BLIZZ: “Ooh, you have a token!! Would you like to purchase flight for your account Mr McWannaFly?”
Guy : “… … Yes, as I said earlier, I would like flight unlocked”
BLIZZ: “Very well! waves hands and mumbles incantations You now have access to flight in the Covenant zones on all characters in your account! Congratualtions!!!”
Guy: walks away grumbling
BLIZZ: “You can fly you know!”
Guy: gives a one finger salute and mounts up to fly away

he even redid the quest to get flying and he did not have to pay for sl flying

As much as I want to believe Blizz wouldn’t sink to that level, I can’t help but have a small voice in the back of my head saying Blizz would do it just because of the general attitude they have towards flying.

“Upon completing a quest contained within the “The Last Sigil” storyline, you’ll be rewarded with Memories of Sunless Skies. This consumable item allows all characters on your account to purchase the Riding Skill needed to fly within the four main Shadowlands zones!”
It does sound like this ‘token’ or whatever just opens up the ability to BUY flight with gold PER character.

Please watch the video that’s been posted. Currently, this isn’t the case and the token specifically states you need 225 riding skill. It’s poorly worded and most likely refers to the fact that alts need 225 riding skill purchased to be able to fly in Shadowlands.
Hence… Riding Skill needed to fly.

It should. I seriously think they just had some random person write it and not have it proofed, so the “riding skill to fly” came out all sorts of backwards, when it should have been “your alts will be able to fly in Shadowlands with the riding skill of 225 purchased.”

its terrible that Ion and crew have left many of us so distrusting of them that even right now Im sitting here doubting that its going to be the same when it goes live as theyre saying it is on PTR.
