How much of the Gilnean population are Worgen?

Didn’t Genn step down due to his age?

You know, it is pretty weird how the Zombies and Vampires got over themselves reasonably quickly in Warcraft and don’t mind being what they are, while the Werewolves are constantly tut-tutt’ed about how they’re supposed to hate what they are and try to conform to make the rest of the Alliance comfortable in their presence.

I’ve seen Genn as a human more than a wolf-man in all of his appearances, as if he’s ashamed to be awesome in front of Anduin and Jaina.

Meanwhile, there’s a literal Orc flexing for two Forsaken gals in the Badlands making it very clear he’s interested, while they giggle and shoo him away.

Say what you will about the Horde, but when you’re just another monster among monsters, there’s no shame involved no matter how odd you are.

To be really fair, this really only happens in the worgen heritage quest than anything. Nothing in reclaiming gilneas is about the curse or not having the curse.

I think is just the expectation that worgens would do something cool as worgens and that never happened.

Yes, but no.

He stepped down because he is an old man on the inside and change is hard for him at his age. He cannot fully let go of his grudges with the Horde and is a good enough leader to understand his country would over time suffer for his personal faults.

The short story “Elegy” does suggest that since the Gilneans were their guests, the Darnassians put their evacuation as top priority if there was a loose elf or three tossed in with a group they probably would have been pushed through.

No one outside the city was evacuated though, the populations of Aldrassil and Dolanaar were total losses.

Man, one of the (many) Ironies of the situation is that Saurfang trying to limit casualties and prosecute the war as bloodlessly as possible really backfired given they’d probably have started evacuating much, much earlier if it was just Sylvanas going full forsaken mode on them from the start.

He stepped down because he had a personality and Blizzard hates that with their racial leaders.

If Sylvannas had been telling it straight than Saurfang screwed things up by not killing Malfurion when he had the chance.

Genn’s entire personality is “I’m mad at Sylvanas.”

once Sylvanas left the story, Genn had no further purpose.
