How Much Did You Spend On Heirlooms?

But you’ve also been able to use them for over ten years. What other piece of gear has lasted that long?

No other gear was marketed to last like that. Heirlooms were.

No where near as much as other people did, thankfully.

And they still will.

Hell, only 2-3 of the pieces originally released had xp even attached to them, weapons and trinkets did not, and still don’t, they still have the same purpose even without the xp.

Head, cape, shoulders, chest, pants. Rings and trinkets came years ago so, yeah, they count too.

I’m talking about when they launched.

The experience isn’t the only part that makes them for “quicker leveling”, not having to replace your gear also does that.

So right now we have 55-60% xp increase if you have them all, but people still use trinkets, necks, and weapons that give no XP, so obviously XP isn’t the ONLY thing they’re about.

Some trinkets give exp. Also, most people drop them once they give no exp because they generally run lower in state across the board.

none of the trinkets give xp, none

You may want to check out the gurubashi arena… Heirloom trinket gives exp. I have time.

I think you’re wrong there budhttps://imgur.com/a/ljZpkma

Probably over 5-600k most likely

Ok, one pvp trinket gives you xp from pvp, which I wouldn’t have because lol wow low level pvp.

But people still wear weapons, necks, other trinkets that give no xp, there’s reasons beyond the XP gain to use heirlooms. And people will still use heirlooms after the change.

Let’s get our heirloom gold back then sure, but I also want the 120k back from the yak, however much the waterstrider cost, including gold for the time it took to farm the rep, gold back from dual spec, and every other change they’ve made.

Half of mine were upgraded via timewalking badges. I was smart enough not to upgrades the ones I didn’t need as well.

Glad you took advantage of the gold sink and dumped a lot of the excessive that you had.

I don’t have that many boas but obviously they should re-imburse people in some way

It would be cool if they were given a feat of strength title or something atleast “the Heir”

Then you get the argument “But now it’s the same speed for EVERYONE!”

Which is the sugar coated version of “We are taking away a leveling option”.

I doubt even 50k. I only ever use the 1-60 heirlooms. The rest just costs to much.

I’ve probably spent at least 500k on heirlooms over the years.

Heirlooms are old.

I’m sure you didn’t buy all the heirloom upgrades now in BFA. Most of us used a mix of Gold, Honor, Justice Points, Medal of Honor, Timewalking Badges…

All the non-xp Heirlooms don’t count in your calculations of how much you spent since those are not losing anything so far.

Heirlooms are old and they were brought to help with gearing at low-level, scalability, it was also considered Twink gear for low-level PVP. And brought everyone on the same playing field.

It’s old, You wanted all the heirlooms, now you have them. You don’t know what the new bonus will be. You probaly made the intented use for your heirloom (level alts). This isn’t a fast-food Item that wasn’t cooked well enough, It’s something that lasted for YEARS (I think wrath or Cata) and everyone who had them were happy to have them.

Now that the level are back down to 60 and speed is improved, heirlooms xp bonus becomes redundant.

What I would LOVE to see with new Heirlooms, is picking your own secondary stat.

And Darkmoon Faire tickets. I think a lot of my earliest 'looms-- back when they topped out at 60-- were from tickets.

Too much really considering how often I level alts. Tbh I don’t really care for a refund though. Not against it but… if it didn’t happen I won’t lose sleep.
