Before heirlooms became what they are today I spent a massive amount of time building up sets so that every character I was leveling could have their own heirloom set and I wouldn’t have to mail stuff back and forth, but then they rolled out a better system for heirlooms and I got to throw all of that away. And you might say “Oh so you didn’t drop a ton of gold on it all” but I did spend a tremendous amount of time farming all of them and given how mediocre gold is in this game I’d say that’s worth far more.
They’ve already stated that they intend to make heirloom use valuable after the fact, but that the exp component doesn’t make sense anymore. I think their rolling out of how this will all work is pretty bad, but I’m waiting to grab my pitchfork until I know how it all works.
