I don’t bother farming anima beyond the 1k anima weekly quest.
If I need something that costs anima, I’ll go out of my way to do WQs that reward anima, but that doesn’t happen often.
There will definitely be more ways to get anima in future patches. Right now, anime is pretty scarce outside world quests and the weeklies. Blizzard will add other ways to obtain anima in new content.

I have done zero actual farming. Or very close to it.
I do no WQ’s and no callings unless they’re dungeon ones or reward renown.
I’ve got enough anima to upgrade something to lvl2 if I wanted, but I have no idea what to upgrade or what any of the crap does. Not interested at all, I just do keys.
I just do the 250 wq ones.
I’m trying to do enough to keep up with my covenant upgrades. Which is an insane time commitment as it is. Never mind grinding enough world quests to get cosmetics.
My guess is there will be a catch up once the new raid tier (and the new tier sets) release.
Upgrading more than one covenant (let alone more than one armor type for the same covenant) with the current anima acquisition seems like an exercise in masochism.

If I have the time I farm all anima dailies each day, ignoring any non animas, otherwise I look to see which zone either A) has the most anima dailies or B) has the biggest anima gains (such as having two 3x anima dailies vs four 1x anima ones). Also I make sure to do the WB each week for 250 and any other 250 that comes around.
Gotta get that ember court up, tea time is a calling!

If you are losing anima from the mission board stop doing the expensive quest. I get tons of anima through doing the ones that reward it
none at all.
got the rank 3 portal thingie and im in no hurry to get anything else tbh.
It’s a real chore, and is overwhelming tbh. I can’t imagine farming for all the various mounts, xmog, etc, on top of everything else (trying to even just grind out adventures to get to the pets and mounts). The sanctum upgrades alone will take an eternity.
I get they dont want us to get everything the expansion has to offer within the first few months, but it seems so absurd.
covenant: “Congrats on the new renown, you get a new xmog piece!!! Well… for 3500 anima of course. Nothing is free even for your new renown level!!!”
please… WQs take more time than before, reward more anima. Reward some for torghast. Reward more for the daily heroic or CTA satchel or something, anything, to make anima obtainable.

I get 1k a week and then whatever drops for me in raid/mythics.

I farm as little anima as possible because the grind for the rewards is beyond staggering to the point where I’m not even worried about missing out on it.

Absolutely zero. If I want to farm anything I’ll play Stardew Valley.
I did a lot to get 25,000 for my transmog set.
Grinded everything. ~1,200-1.5 per day if you do EVERYTHING game has to offer in 24 hours.
I got my set. Now I got nothing else to work towards. So I just don’t even bother.,
A lot. But I keep buying things, so I never have a lot of anima.

I do my weekly quest pretty fast, thanks to World Boss giving 25% of it.
After that I snag any easy WQs that I come across doing callings or chasing rares.
tuesdays illl get the 1k in about an hour. World Boss seems to always give 250, the elite quests seems to always give 250. if the theater one is up, its usually 250 (not always). the BG weekly gives 250, the rated ones i dont do, as i dont have friends who do it, but that would be 750 usually for the rated.
random BG and epic BG is 280 per day for a win each, so i do those for the anima and CQ points.
this guy im way behind on, but i got a rank 2 conductor and rank 1 mission table. my lock who is more my main i guess, i have a rank 3 conductor, rank 2 travel, and rank 1 ember court and table, and got like 2-3k in reserve. ive slowed down on him since i started working on this guy.
for wq’s, i do the 100+ ones when doing calling and the 70 ones if they are close and easy. ill skip the 35 ones.
I get what ever comes up on daily resets on pvp. Assuming I win…its the 100 or so per all 3 up. Last night I could not win epic bg’s for love nor money so there went that that daily. I do this more for first win conquest/honor than anima though.
And I spammed world boss a bit yesterday since it was a jumping scene when I was on so there was another 250 yesterday for a few chars.
