How many times can you add a race that nobody asked over favorites of the Playerbase?

exactly, so why would they bother spending way more money and time making a unique race.

I’m not saying that’s what I want, I actually want tuskarr even though they’d probably be overall played very little…I’m just saying it’s easy to see a lot of decisions they’ve made are purely financial. Whatever justification they made up for not giving drac’thyr armor is fluff, they just didn’t want to invest the time/money to do it.

:face_vomiting: :face_vomiting: :face_exhaling:

I think allied races are just a thing to sell expansions now and are done based on ease over actual interest in them.

You forgot the Tuskarr. They even brought them back in Dragonflight which was nice, but… why can’t we play them?

I wonder if the dev team is saving some races as a sort of emergency rip cord to pull in case they ever lose too many players. :woman_shrugging:

Remember when new races weren’t reskins, and were available right out the gate with no nonsense questline?

No.

I don’t use AI.
I’ve always typed this way.
Long before ChatGPT came about.

Long-time forum users can verify that for you :joy:

I didn’t copy AI … AI copied ME.

it’s like. how many times do you need to be shown you don’t matter at all.

There’s some strange mind stuff happening here. where we’re revolting and subjugated at the same time.

Honestly I think it’s more like “what can we throw together from these parts and wedge into something else.”

but also the subjugation

Some idiot somewhere said “don’t overdeliver” and these devs take that was a reason to just not deliver at all

I think they are a great addition. People keeping they are a reskin, but I am just seeing it that way. Yes they do have some similarities to the nightelves, but think unique in their own right.

Thats because they arent rly a great addition and are indeed a reskin.

They have the exact same story the night elves had in the warcraft 3.

The only difference is that they like mushrooms too, besides that, whats their uniqueness? and dont mention superficial stuff like druid forms.

Repeating something over and over doesn’t make it fact. I think that are a good addition.

Just like you repeating that they are a good adition without providing any evidence for that, is not a fact?

Like you just repeated yourself right now?

Is this a meta joke? cause you are throwing shade at yourself here

They really should add ogres into the game, but not reduce their size at all so that certain parts of the game are just unplayable and when players invariably complain about this they can just tap the sign, “YOU ASKED FOR THIS”

I maintain i like the void elves, I find their potential as a race to be quite interesting.

But I’m also not stupid and know their inclusion was completely stupid of Blizzard as they were made specifically to avoid just giving Alliance players high elves, which fair enough blood elves already exist.

But then Blizzard constantly went out of their way to remind everyone high elves still exist with lots of focus whenever Dalaran is brought up, which has been a lot.

So they made void elves to avoid high elves and then ended up giving them (and blood elves) high elf colors anyway making the whole exercise completely pointless in the end.

It’s a pretty easy way. Because the added races are recolors of current races.

Lightforged Draenei and Highmountain Tauren can be called reskins because they are using basically the same model as the core race they are associated with, but with a different texture and one or 2 new physical changes. But Haranir have a lot more changes then just a simple texture swap.

They have the exact same story the night elves had in the warcraft 3.

As for this. I don’t think this is what typically think of when they think of a reskin. People are thinking of visual appearances.

Its not that they 'can" be called reskins

THEY ARE RESKINS

No, its straight up a texture swap, so its a reskin.

The race that did not had that was zandalari, who had an edited night elf model and kul’tiran who had a different model entirelly.

Even vulpera is a goblin reskin.

Right, but we still talking about the race being a redundant copy of the night elves, in not just model but story too

I play DnD on M,W,F, S,T,S, and Thursday. I am constantly introducing new races just to annoy my play mates. Last one was “The Yoda race” only because it has no name and every time they mention it, they all need to say, “The Yoda race.”

it’s the look on their face. not only when they say it, but just before they say it too when their faces scrunch up with an annoyed disgust.

I don’t DnD, I can’t sit at a table with such little moving things for too long.

Vykrul, Drakonids and Ogres are my choice.

Would be great to have a two headed Ogre option. Which allows you to have two different helmet options. Drakonids are what I hoped when we received discount Dracythyr.

You should reconsider this stance. Because its objectively wrong and continuing to cling to this idea will hurt your credibility. There is a bunch of physical features the have such as:

  1. The hair. Anyone with eyes can clearly see the hair looks very different.
  2. Ears. Last I checked night elves didn’t have bat like ears.
  3. The body itself though it may look similar in some ways, but is in fact a different model.

I would say that Haranir are more on par with how nightborne are compared to void elves. In fact I’d argue there is more similar between Nightborne and Void elves in terms of appearances.
