I have. Vanilla was really weird because when they first added MC you could rez in combat.
My very first experience raiding in WoW, I was an RSham and all I did was stand 50 yards away from the raid behind a pillar and rez people who died, if I did anything else I got docked DKP.
Also that guild I was in had a soundboard made for the GM. He used to scream at us. Thankfully I got gkicked before experienced the real meme screams.

I started on my first account three months before TBC. Sadly got rid of it after the disappointment known as Cata. But returned later with this account. Not the full 20 but off and on since I first played.

I started Mid-Wrath. Lots of breaks, some short, many long, and it will continue that way until I’m done.

Not I. Around 18 years. Kept an active subscription until warlords of borenor.
Started playing in 2004 but skipped here there due to life. Skipped WoD and most of SL.
How about this… my playtime is 99% one character, a warrior.
I did not start until summer 2011. Until then i did not know WoW existed, or any other MMO! Same thing with SWTOR and Guild Wars 2… didn’t know they existed until i met my husband in 2013 lol .
I started back in late 2005. Played until BC came out then was off and on for the first part of that Xpac. Then from Wrath until now have been playing pretty casually for the most part. Still remember doing the Paladin quest for the charger. Was a great feeling once I completed that and ran around Stormwind feeling awesome on my epic ground mount!

started 2 weeks after launch. ordered a physical original collectors edition via amazon back when they ship on launch day and package travel took a min. been here for every xpack launch. half the betas including the original vanilla beta. few years off here n there. first big time I was away from the game was when I missed the 2nd half of BC when i enlisted and left for naval bootcamp. was raiding SSC at the time.
raided MC before the front door was installed, you had to 40 man run though brd, Good times. back then T1 and T2 both dropped in mc and t2 had placeholder textures. I recall a guy who had 7/8 T2 but went like 36 weeks or something insane without a Wrath helmet from Onyxia. I recall hearing a story that he was the inspiriation for class tier tokens. guy was a guild leader of a top 10 world guild and had a massive notable mob named after him in BC.
Yes, I got the statue too!! And have been playing since the original release, NON STOP!
I’ve been playing since TBC was part of the Battle Chest with Vanilla, so not quite the full 20 years, but kind of close, 17 or 18 I think? Only took two month long breaks, one during WoD and one during Cata, otherwise been subbed and playing almost every single day since. Still my favorite game and don’t play any others.
Been playing since I was in the fifth grade. Crazy to think 20 years have passed. I remember discovering that everyone in my school was also secretly playing the game eventually we all figured it out and played for years together. 40man raid of elementary and middle schoolers on Ragnaros. We weren’t victorious but we felt like champions. It was awesome.

I think it was that combat wasn’t automatically instance wide. Unless we were just late to the party. But the strategy i remember was having Paladins stand back out of the main combat zone so they were out of combat rez. And then the other one was all hunters had to have Goblin Jumper Cables so they could feign out of combat and rez priests and paladins.
It depends on if you count my breaks as being a player or not. Vanilla since day one. I quit during the Legion launch and just now came back.
I also got a statue on the 10 year anniversary. I sold it on ebay for $300.
Yes, my sub has not had breaks.
Started in TBC years. May, or June 07.
Started in July of 2006 and have never let my sub lapse. Too late of a starting date for the statue but I doubt my wife would have let me prominently display it anyway.

I am a teeny bit miffed about the statue.
I’ve been here, essentially, since the early F&F Alpha. I came in just at the end of the Dwarven Push (We had just got the taxi so we could FLY(!!) to Loch Modan, but I didn’t have enough gold to afford it.) I started with a Dwarf Mage (Dwarves originally did not have Mages as a class).
I still remember the sound of casting a Frost Bolt at the Wolves in the quiet, snowy land of Dun Morogh.
I played through Alpha and Beta, but when they launched, I took a break. I did not go to Fry’s when WoW went on sale. I lived vicariously through my friends who did start immediately as they lived through all of the drama of the early WoW launch. At one point my friend drove from OC to Temecula to get CDs of the current update, because someone else managed to get them first and downloads were simply glacial at that time. Never discount the bandwidth of a trunk filled with CDs.
I didn’t start again until Mar. of 2005.
I had my account on a recurring monthly subscription since the beginning. But when D3 launched, I was engrossed in that for 3 months, during which time my CC expired, so there was a month during that time when I did not renew.
The combination of that CC event and starting late in Mar 2005 disqualified me from the statue.
But, it is what it is. Save for the Mar '05 start and the CC event, I’ve been here pretty much the entire time, and more so.
Piddy is my second Vanilla character.

statue? What statue? I wish I remembered my old account to get that statue! I played in the early days and quit after WOTLK, just came crawling back recently. It’s a bit disappointing to see how peaceful we are nowadays…
statue?
I’ve been playing since nov 5th 2004.
never got a statue. but there have been months I’ve unsubbed because dead content or dead xpac.
