every class has its own streamers , that play the class no matter what…and even when nerfed they still make it look like its the best class in the game , because thats their “job”
what u call scrubs is maybe ppl that are tired of getting the short end of the stick every expansion and wants to feel “powerfull” for once.

I expected numbers to get reduced. I did not expect them to make a change that altered how playing the spec felt. it legitimately feels bad to play now on beta.
With that all said, this is the usual experience. Last minute half-baked changes that may get completely reverted… or not
Well, I will still main Enhancement this expac. I will most likely be Totemic. I think there will be another number pass overall for Shamans, and that is what they will go with. Elemental was way over-tuned. That made it to the pre-patch. Now you have people flocking to be OP.
I am hoping that they get the numbers correct as I was Elemental in DF. I am hoping that Shamans are viable and FUN for TWW. Time is closing fast though, I hope it gets done.
This is why shaman will never be even a meta-alt spec. Ele was top 5-7 dps, and this guy thinks it was way-overtuned. Meanwhile Mage, SPriest, Warlock have gone entire seasons doing bonkers damage. Never hear the mage forum say “I think we are doing too much damage, maybe Blizz should look at our numbers”.
People like Shaman, any time they are good everyone dusts off their alt, but if they aren’t doing top end damage they are not worth the effort. Easier to just play Mage, Lock, Spriest and stay in the top 5 and not worry about nerfs.
Quite obvious you are not in the Beta. When Ele is hitting someone for 12mill off one ELE Blast in Pvp and follow up with a 5mill lightning strike, things are not quite right. I am sorry but Ele should not 3 shot anyone in full pvp gear, whether you want to be Meta or not. Also on Beta Ele was the BEST ST in raid by a loooooooooong way.
So no, I would rather they adjust Ele now before letting people think this should be the norm, and then whine about it when they get nerfed into the ground. I feel they went a bit far on some nerf’s so I do hope it gets adjusted tomorrow. But letting it sit in lets 2 shot people stage is also not acceptable.
I was not fooled. The awesomeness of shaman on beta was nice but I knew it wouldn’t last mainly due to blizzard being blizzard, with their need to nerf shaman into mediocrity. Plus because of posters like Shadowshock, after all shaman is a “glass cannon”.
And that was the issue. Shaman is NOT a glass cannon. With the shields and other defense we have, we could stand an attack then turn around and two-shot three shot people. I know some want to be that way, since ELemental has been at the bottom so long, but everyone does not want that. I would rather be balanced.
There is more to the game than just raids and M+. As I have already said, the last round of nerfs were a bit heavy handed. My hope is that they will be adjusted in tomorrow build. At some point people will play what Blizzard sets in front of us. My hope is that it is close enough so that we do not need to be massively buff or nerf mid expac.
I wasn’t really talking about pvp, but sure, pallys and rogues have gone whole seasons where they were able to delete you in a couple globals. God forbid elemental get released in that state.
You say you want the spec balanced? Then balance it with Mage and unholy DK, you really mean you want the spec to be mid.
It’s true there’s a non-small percentage of shaman players that love the spec being a mediocre, niche spec that only “the true shaman mains” would want to play.
Well it was a good run while it lasted, 6 months from now we will be able to pull up video and see what the spec could have been.
I never saw a 12 mil ele blast in beta and I’ve been playing it a lot in beta. Even still, let’s suppose that was the case and why shaman was nerfed. Why nerf lvb by 25%? If I try to get my full burst now which is storm keeper, prim wave, frost shock buff for lvb, fire elemental and natures swiftness (and use volcanic surge so I hvae to cast lvb) I shoot out a lvb - asc for another one - swiftness + lvb for another, instant lb and instant lb (notice all those cds I used for this) I deal approx 4 mil dmg which is a bit more than half of someone’s hp. (Biggest lvb I can get off now with every cd, buff and pvp trinket is 799k)
Meanwhile feral is getting 4.5 mil bites off, frost mages are spamming 1-1.5mil ice lances, warlock pets hitting for 4.5 mil, rogues eviscerating for 1.6mil and other shenanigans with other classes.
Elementals usually pretty fine even after the nerfs.
Enhance is not the same tho and when a nerf happens its terrible.
But ya u start to notice trends it happens ever expac. Its almost like the devs do this on purpose to distract from the fact we got no positive changes or real rework this go around. No new visuals either still stuck with the terrible ascendance model. I refuse to touch shaman again as a main until they upgrade it to something better.
Enhance needed a rework and some streamlining for the button bloat but we just got more buttons
