How many of you would accept upright tauren

I know, he almost looks cool enough there to pass for Cairne… too bad in game he’s a completely different story.

It really is. It doesn’t even make sense for that part to have bones but, for whatever reason, they are there.

Tauren are descendants of Yaungol. As for Yaoungol themselves, Brann Bronzebeard speculated that those might be the descendants of an unknown bull Ancient.

Barring retcons (which seem almost inevitable with Blizzard…), Tauren are an offshoot of the Yaungol (the ones we meet in Mists of Pandaria) that stayed around the shores of the Well of Eternity and were converted into the more passive Tauren we now know.

It is believed the Yaungol (and all of their relatives: Tauren & Taunka) are descendants of an unknown Bull Ancient. So, in a way, they’d have a relationship to that Ancient similar to how Dryads and Sons of Cenarius are related to the Deer Ancient, Malorne.

I don’t even accept upright Orc.

Of all the things to be concerned over with such borkedness in the expansion lol…

Heck yeah I would!

The bull shoulder part is only somewhat tricky.

I accept all kinds of Tauren!

I have found the following website an invaluable resource to put together the pieces of story strewn around in the World (take out the spaces):

I don’t even accept myself as a hunched over Tauren, but I am what I am.

(My adopted family already has dibs on the Chuck Roast and Ribeye parts of me upon my permanent death. The rest is up for bidding.)

Harder to cosplay.
Trying to stick my head actually seven and a half feet in the air would have been awful.

I’d show a picture to demonstrate but holy crap I hate the fact that this forum intermittently decides I’m a brand new person with new privileges.
(If you care, look up the tauren costume from the 2012 GenCon.)

In a HEARTBEAT. Being fully upright would also fix the issue I constantly see with their neck and hunch being completely exposed to the air despite wearing full plate.

Should also point out that I barely fit through doors as it is. (Seriously, had a quest which took a minute to line up perfectly with the door to fit through and finish it.)

Oh, and I resent that Blizzard took away my Moo emote.

Uhh just fine I guess? Lol

What do you mean an upright tauren…?

You mean like upright orcs…? Tauren are already hard enough to fit through doors with a hunch?

They are not hunched like male undead, orc, or worgen. Orcs worked because they straightened the spine and orcs have necks. Tauren don’t really have necks so they’d have to change the model too much for this to work. I’m not saying that one picture doesn’t look neat, but I do like taurens the way they are just fine. That said, if blizz was willing to do a tauren like the pic that was linked, I’d try it out.

I would need to see the un-hunched model first.
But I’m definitely up to give it a chance.

Well seeing as how uptight orcs and shoulder pads were completely borked from day 1, if upright tauren were ever to be a thing I would imagine their shoulder pads to hover roughly 30ft away from them.

I ran several tauren through Shadowlands, and every time it just looked so wrong when they looked up at the anima gateway coming down. Like their point of rotation was below the hump. Helms have always looked stupid on them too, like a bag on the head which is entirely in front of the chest…

Depends how they look, I’ve never seen an upright tauren so…

a bull ancient… wait… doesn’t Pandaria have one of those? The black ox or whatever? Would he count? Hmm we really need a list of all the loa that have been but maybe died… stuff gets confusing
