How many of you actually enjoyed torghast?

I liked it for like the first two weeks and then I never wanted to do it again.

Oh it is terribad on a rogue.

Warrior -too easy.
Pally, fun
DK,fun
Sham, fun
Hunt, fun
Boom druid… just okay.

Rogue/feral druid… So bad I would rather delete my rogue then have to do that run again on it.

I geared up my Rogue due to Draenei rogue hype and I haven’t touched her since due to the need of having to do Torghast for ashes. I’m not sure how they could make the stealth class so unenjoyable in a giant hall that is meant to empower them…but they sure found a way.

Yeah I did the Druid one as Guardian and it just wasn’t nearly as fun as doing it as like a DH tank. :L

Certain classes 100% felt like they ran out of time and shifted dev time to other things.

What baffled me for the Priest one is that they did nothing with Mind Control. How could they not have given players a MC army??

Really depended on the class. I thought it was dreadful on Hunter but it was SO much fun on Priest and Shaman.

I like running Twisting on this character a whole lot. There are a few other classes I enjoyed as well. The regular wings…ehh, hit or miss.

As of this reply I am 13/16 toons running it for the anima salvage calling.

When do it that much, it gets tedious, though I save the fun classes with the most box progress for last

I did layer 4 of the gauntlet this week on a lark. My time’s expiring tomorrow, taking a few weeks break (no you can’t have my stuff, I’ll be back for season 4) so i decided to try and knock it out now for the mount what the heck. Did it on brewmaster, had tons of fun.

As something to do at random as a chill activity, its pretty great. I would be losing my god danged mind if i had to do 4-5 runs per legendary or something at this stage of the expansion.

I do i like torg

It was fun to an extent but it was killed completely by having no attached goal/reward. If it had a loot structure like horrific visions and no relation to legendary crafting torghast I reckon it would have been viewed fondly by the wider playerbase. Torghast being an actual chore for legendary crafting killed the content for every player that likes gear, and even some players that like single player content.

To answer the original question: I did enjoy torghast.

Me.

I really, really wanted to enjoy it.

Alas, I was hoping for something rather different: less monotone, where fights were rarer and the focus was more on exploration and making good use of the resources picked up along the way. It took me a while to realize that the devs had a completely different, dungeon-crawl vision and I never really got past that mismatch of expectations.

It was ok for grinding out leveling exp, but as endgame content, it felt like a long bland gear check and I was only really doing it for the hope of mission table followers.

I enjoy it  Hoping it continues to be a thing in future xpacs.

I never ā€œhad toā€ do it though because I refuse to take part in Blizz’s dumb systems so I was just doing it for fun and leveling when they made the ToF change.

I did but I didn’t do it too often.

I just finished tower ranger the other day and it was a pretty fun experience. I’d say early on in the expansion it was ok but had some problems. As time went on I liked the improvements and additions they did.

My only criticisms are that there should be some more build variety. For my class/spec/covenant, there is really only one way to go for successful runs. That and Mort’regar is just plain awful and not fun at all. Otherwise, it was a plus in my book.

Did I get corrosive early on? Then yes, I enjoyed Torghast XD

I enjoy it, but I never ran it relentlessly when it was required for Legendaries so my perception is probably skewed.

I hope they don’t totally abandon the concept going forward.

Yeah it wasn’t bad.

Would have been more fun if it were a bit harder, but it was required for legendaries so that was never gunna happen.

The only flaw with Torghast is that it was tied to legendary crafted gear.

I actually had fun with it once we got into the second patch and they redid it. Removing the 6th floor, adding in the box of many things, and providing rewards / fun modes like the Jailer’s Gauntlet, all made Torghast much more enjoyable.

If Torghast had released as the 9.1 version along with Jailer’s Gauntlet intended as some kind of challenge mode, I think it would have been fine.

A glaring example of this too is Twisting Corridors, which I cannot stand. I would actually be totally fine with Twisting Corridors, if the box of many things effected it. But because it doesn’t, and it’s on the 9.0 model, it’s incredibly infuriating compared to what we have today.

Only did Torghast like 3 times lol. Saving Baine, and never went back. Tired of them constantly trying to funnel people into gimmicky instanced content.
