How long will the Horde Battlegrounds ques get? Solutions?
A lot of us play on both factions. So far my experience has been that Alliance Battlegrounds ques are “almost” instant…while the Horde Battlegrounds ques are 30-45 minutes.
I haven’t played on my Horde character in months so maybe things have changed. Please let me know if you have lower que times on Horde.
My solution? Allow Horde to fight against Horde in Battlegrounds. This will not impact WoW Classic other than allowing Horde players to get the opportunity to play more Battlegrounds in a shorter amount of time. Even though I play Alliance mostly…I don’t believe people should be forced to switch factions just to play Battlegrounds when Arathi Basin comes out. I think that when Arathi Basin releases the Horde ques will only get longer.
Why not just remove the Alliance then? What’s even the point of having a second faction if you can do literally everything including faction based pvp without the second faction?
No, queue times doesn’t matter. The only current issue is that AV isn’t fun for anyone in its current state. Hope that the changes make it so there is actual PVP instead of a zerg rush.
I play both factions because I saw this problem as a 100% future problem back in Sep on Whitemane…
Did not take me long to realize that a massive potion of the PVP community rolled Horde for the vastly superior PVP racials and to play with friends, and to play races / animations that are way cooler…
The Horde Q’s are long as hell because there are way more PVP oriented players Horde side waiting in Q…
Simple math dictates this will only change when the PVP oriented players change faction.
I chose to re-roll and throw away my progress because Playing alliance is not bad, and I could then enjoy the BG’s on a whim rather than waiting in Q for ages.
In short, the only way to fix this problem are NON-VANILLA solutions…
Solution 1, and this is a REALLY bad idea… Faction transfers; this is the least good idea you can possibly promote.
Solution 2, Cross faction Q’n, this is something I have read about that actually works on private servers… Trust me you want to see some real crying from the Horde about Horde racials, this solution is actually practical and 100% Negates Q’s instantly.
IMO the “Faction barrier” is meaningless at this point because CRBG’s kill the community any way.
May as well un-ruin the PVP Q’s for players to just enjoy the damn game.
I play Horde for one reason and one reason only, Shaman (I am Resto). Alliance does not have them so I can not roll a Alliance character. I am a PvE player and I only PvP in BGs which I listen to, follow and do objectives. I do everything I can to watch the map look for enemy troop movements and call them out for the Horde to decide. Most of the time I am on the defense team that slowly moves forward as we take objectives and recap what we lose.
Occasionally I am on the offense team but then I will port back do turn-ins which have no benefit to me because I am exalted with all 4 Horde Factions. On average it’s 35-40 minutes between match’s and depending on the opponents it can be a quick 8m match upwards of around 30m on average.
To get BGs where queue times are lower for the Horde so they spend less time in wPvP we need to maybe find out the route cause.
Can get more Alliance to start re-queuing - Queue times use to be 3 minutes for Horde when BGs 1st introduced but crept up after Alliance met there reputation goal for potential cheap epic mount and purple gear.
Get Horde to re-roll - Least likely option because of time to re-level plus maintain their main for guild content.
Add a mercenary option - Other then getting all those Alliance that left the queue, this is the next fastest solution but one the wasn’t part of Classic.
