Performing well in PVE doesn’t mean a spec can’t be buffed in PVP, it means you’re unlikely to get PVE buffs that are allowed to roll over to PVP.
If tuning is around the corner and there’s a dps spec that’s not doing well in raids it’ll often get a little 3-5% positive adjustment, and unless the spec is performing well or very well in pvp it’ll often go through to that as well.
Look at his character stats. Mastery>haste approach. That’s how he’s getting those high numbers.
If mastery is working for you at roughly 2.3 I wonder if it’d be worth trying it with pet build over superstrain.

It’s kind of like how zero rets were running herald in any pve content because it was so far behind damage and survivability wise, so they buffed herald by a flat 50%. It’s still worse than Templar in pve, but now in PvP there are almost no scenarios Templar would be better than herald.
Side note, I don’t think I’ve ever played as a “dot” spec, I’m not sure how I feel about it. I kind of like doing big crits during wings. This is also why I feel like buffing justicar’s vengeance to do ~20% more than FV would be good for those that want to play as an actual melee with big hits during cds.

Oh and instead of fixing a talent bug they just nerfed like 3 things in the toolkit including death strike
I don’t know if it was you, but in the previous expansion I met a holy paladin who helped my warrior from 1300 to 1800+ extremely easily. I was really surprised by that.
I managed to reach 1800 in 2v2 on this DK with a friend, and now I’m working on my shaman, f.war and DH. But 2v2 is pretty tough, I need to find another paladin to do me that favor xD…
It’s just sad that I’m at work right now (it’s 10 a.m. where I am), and I’ll only be able to log into the game in about 8 to 9 hours lol.

I feel like Shadow Priests honestly don’t complain much. Not lately. Their tankiness as a cloth magic user seems to keep them more quiet than other magic casters. They love their disperse that’s for sure.
There are outliers. A couple of them may try to bring up mobility, even though they’re a tank.
Vs casters yes, vs this melee meta not really.
DK is without a doubt the squishiest class in the game.

I dunno man I saw a few good shadow priests tanking for long periods of time and winning like 2 out of 3 matches on Discord streams and other places. I think Shadow priest is not even a sleeper power anymore. They’re just great and I should swap mine from discipline to shadow now that I think it over.
DK Survivability makes the class completely useless in pvp, but it is such an easy fix:
1- remove pvp talent “bloodforged armor”, this should be passive/baseline for non-blood specs
2- make PLATE armor actually reduce physical damage as it should (I don’t know why this has to be said)
3- UN-nerf Death Strike on PvP ← important one!!! 50% nerf is absurd
4- make death strike un-dodgeable and un-parryable and un-affected by any type of healing reduction
… Done, that’s it, simplest fix ever
Keep in mind, Unholy should not be overbuffed to bea borderline Blood Death Knight tank either. They have had those couple moments. It wasn’t pretty for anyone.
