Is it still dependent on necklace effects and maledicts/dungeon gimmick trinkets?
Yes.
Probably the worst it’s ever been since I started really paying attention to PvP. There have always been gimmicks, for sure. But the sheer volume of PvE nonsense and RNG procs is legitimately astounding. Blizzard clearly wasn’t happy with how proc reliant a lot of specs are, so they made RNG autopilot every spec.
Add farmed corruptions to your list and you’ve got the meta yea
horrendous game. dont play!
Its pretty bad, jumping in now would have a solid month or two of catch up before you could be competitive.
Even winning doesn’t feel great. It’s more like a relief that the match is over than anything else.
The worst WoW has ever been, in the history of ever existing.
In 8.3 the corruption system brought a lot of interesting stat amps, procs bringing life to this dead RPG. The gear is time gated behind tons of grinding. However once you get BiS corruptions and sockets in every slot. PvP is pretty fun.
So 8.3 PvP is the best and most fun it’s been since WoD. It’s just a shame they time gate everything and have massive RNG to gear up.
Oh c’mon guys, it’s not that bad.
You just have to avoid playing half the specs in the game, grind echoes and wait for the vendor to rotate around once every 1.5 months to your corruptions, have perfect stat optimization, run the raid several times for trinkets, grind mythic+ as PvP gear is mostly useless, catch your time gated cloak up which will take about 2 months of killing n’zoth and doing visions, and leave any game that has a fire mage, destro lock, or mistweaver.
the state of bfa? it sucks
