How is horde going to survive the world first races?

People might do it. But probably only 1% of the people playing will care.

It’s not a world first when it’s already been done…15 years ago

I love people who pull numbers out of their butts.

Everyone is starting from scratch. This version of wow is modified. Bugs have been fixed, qol such as auto loot is added and quests are now known. It’s a whole new game. Even if you don’t want to say world first. It’s still a race. One that many are interested in seeing who wins.

The thread is about world firsts.

It’s not a world first when it’s been done thousands upon tens of thousands upon hundreds of thousands of times both on live 13-15 years ago, and on Pservers since then.

Get a grip and just enjoy the game when it launches.

Horde races are ugly so even if they are first, they’re last. :sunglasses:

Vanilla=/=Classic=/=Pservers
Classic allows you to trade epics in raids (allowing for faster progression/less chances for blunders) (auto loot - shaving off time) (bug fixes - allowing faster leveling) (phases in which it will release in are different/differently staggered) I could go on for several paragraphs explaining how the changes impact, but I feel you understand this now.

Think of it like having a car (1980 Ford Fiesta). The car when new, was nice, but decades pass and time deteriorates it and eventually you can’t drive it any more. To start it back up, you replace the engine, axles, muffler and exhaust. It’s no longer the same car is it? Sure, you’ll still call it a 1980 Ford Fiesta, but now it has part that didn’t exist at the time in it, parts from a new century, a new millennia! It even runs BETTER than it did when brand new!

It’s not an exact copy anymore, I’m sorry, but it just isn’t.

So people are free to deem these races “world first races”. You’re free to have an opinion and disagree. And we’re free to have an opinion and say it’s a new game.

For the love of all that is holy, practice what you preach and allow others to do the latter part of this when they race for their world first level 60s and Ragnaros kills.

Anyways, I’m gonna stop arguing as I feel neither of us will back down. You’re free to have the last word. I’m done reading and replying. See you in Classic!

Since alliance got 36 of the 43 world firsts in Vanilla, I doubt it changes here, might even be worse now.

Pally>shaman.

For one, “firsts” don’t matter at all.
Secondly, most people will compare them to their own faction, not the other one. It doesn’t make much sense to compare people’s success at different difficulty modes of a game. “I beat the game in 4 hours!” Ya but you played on easy mode. I’m on hard mode where you actually die sometimes. “I still did it faster!”

I feel like not enough people know about this, alliance really was the dominant PVE faction in vanilla (mostly due to paladins and population inbalance).

I mean maybe horde will get a few more, but nothing serious…

Because people look at shamans and see OMG WF!!!

In reality shaman’s are pretty bad at anything but resto, which is true for pally as they need to be holy, but the buffs and healing of pallys is far superior to shaman’s and it shows by the alliance world firsts at 36 vs horde at 7.

Why would there be a lot of hype around easier world firsts? MC and BWL will be absolute jokes under 1.12 balance patch.

MC will not be a joke because world first will require leveling to 60, so this will be the most interesting in my opinion.

BWL, AQ20, and ZG will all be jokes obviously.
AQ40 and NAXX40 could provide some entertainment for outside viewers, they’ll still obviously be cleared on day 1, but server first will be a big deal for these I think.

how are the alliance going to go back 15 years and get world first?

Alliance obtained 36 out of the 44 world first boss kills in classic WoW, and i’m sure they’ll do it again.
