Druid main since vanilla. Every time I reroll I end up back on the druid. Questing is great. A druid is an ATV, instantly run/swim/fly and grab herbs and turn in quests shapeshifted. Stealth in and out of quests, shadowmeld to shed a train of mobs.
In end game, there is always at least one viable spec, usually 2-3. Plus you can tank old content or stuff like Torghast even if it isn’t your mainspec. Resto is one of the more interesting healers to play, usually amazing at raid healing. Bear if you like tanking, and feral DPS is usually a challenging rotation if that’s your thing. Lazer chicken is usually a solid offspec for restos even if it’s not stupidly strong like in SL. It’s not my favorite caster and I’m still bitter about losing my leafy, green wrath, but definitely playable.
I’m not big on PvP, but cyclone is the ability everyone loves to hate and we have always had strong mobility with shapeshifting out of snares and travel form.
