My guild won’t take me. Too many other people already have gear I’m useless.
Learn to tank.
If you’re just going to ignore your options and complain, then yes, it might be better if you find another game that suits you.
You’re guaranteed a 603 gear drop at the end of every tier 8 bountiful delve if you use a key. And the vault slot is 616.
Fair enough if you don’t enjoy the gameplay, but they’re literally guaranteed gear with the keys.
So I suggest you to seach for another guild, because apparently, you’re in an elitist tryhard guild.
There are many other more friendly guilds that are willing to help their members catch up on gear.
Well…I’m here asking for options…so far it’s tank or do delves. If that’s it then yes I guess I’ll be on the way to the door.
Join Wow Made Easy, an M+ community that is pretty friendly for beginners, novices, and people starting to gear thru mythics. Not a perfect solution, but it has a much higher chance of success than what you’re doing now. Keys 2-4 has groups running pretty often.
Switch your loot specialization to Arms, as others have mentioned.
And at your gear level, you should be sweeping through T8s like a wave- they are tedious, but not hard.
And do Bountifuls only for Tirion’s sake; if you look on the map and the Delve ain’t gold, you ain’t suppose to be going.
Should get you to 610 pretty quickly.
Just make your own groups and dps then. It does suck waiting for healers and tanks but if you make your own groups and push your own keys, you’ll eventually get gear.
Delves
Tank
Create your own group/run your own keys
Raid
Crafted gear
There’s been a few suggestions, it is up to you which you do.
Yea the one I did was very easy. Didn’t know about this whole bountiful thing so I’ll try that a few times. Thank you.
I will say - you’re not wrong to be confused about gearing, it really is a bit of a mess especially for newer/returning players.
Maybe find a gearing video on Youtube, it might make it all a little clearer.
Does lfr give better than 597ilvl?
I got you:
-
Do 4 weekly activities of your choice and these will give you keys towards bountiful delves (which you can get champion gear at the end from or even hero gear if you get a map in them.
-
even if you just do heroic dungeons each week you can trade in your vault for heroic raid runes which you can use to upgrade the champion track gear or craft items (one 619 item a week and I think we’re up to 5 crafts).
-
Last two bosses of normal give the same crests as hero and at this stage of the game it falls over. If you make the party and be picky it’s usually an easy win.
-
making own party for keys work. I got my protection paladin up 3 days ago and have done 5 keys (honestly mostly ara kara cause I’m trying to get the trinket). It did take a while to be accepted I will admit but it wasn’t too bad as a tank.
Doesn’t look like you even tried to get into a normal raid, which drops all 600+ ilvl stuff
We let people in my guild into our community normal runs with a minimum 580 ilvl, and I see many pugs with people that low as well.
Do you not like raiding either?
How does a person get into a normal raid if nobody will invite them?
No. Imho, aside from if you need valor stones, it’s a waste of your time.
Find a guild. And they wil invite you if you apply. If they don’t, keep trying. Rinse and repeat.
I’ve made party with my friend yuki before. We titled it, easy full clear normal ‘heroic alts only’ if you want to be sly.
I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure m0 and LFR give 593-597 loot.
The easiest thing to do is just do your weekly quests/events. You only have to do 4 of them, get your 4 keys, then do 4 bountiful delves for 603 loot that can be upgraded to 619. And a small chance at Delver’s Bounty maps, which give you 610 ilvl heroic track gear in your next delve. 610 if you do it on a +8 or higher delve, anyway.
And don’t forget that you can also upgrade your current gear with crests.
Yea I tried that and I got some achievement that I had outgrown a certain type and I can’t seem to get the next kind so I just stopped.
