I mean, the contempt you show towards people that play alliance doesnt really give them any reason to show respect back to you
And then, more recently, the Alliance tried to kill them all.
Guess they went in chronological order over who tried to kill them most recently.
Wow, I cannot stop laughing… I didn’t read anymore beyond this point, my chest hurts from laughing.
Whatever you say, dwarf pal. Victory to the Alliance, hey brother? Victory to the superior faction, once again.
Actually the alliance never tried to wipe out the blood elves. In fact the only reason the blood elves werent welcomed to the alliance. Was because of shady sabotage by the night elfs.
“This is preposterous! Am I to assault the undead with nothing but sticks and harsh language?”
Yup, I am. Retcons and cringe are to be expected in a 20 year Long running fantasy game. Besides, I’ve played 40 K for 25 years. When a story has 17 recon, half of which are true thanks to reality warping and the unreliable narrator trope, the retcons in Warcraft are nothing in comparison.
The High Elves were nearly wiped out by the Old Horde and were then upset that the humans didn’t come to their aid. Meanwhile, the humans were struggling with the Orcs themselves. It’s worth noting that the High Elves hadn’t previously come to the humans’ aid and preferred to stay comfortably in Quel’thalas. This was also the reason why Garithos developed such a deep grudge against the Blood/High Elves.
Tyrande and Malfurion, on the other hand, directly advocated for the protection of Kael’thas and his followers. The Night Elves actively tried to help the High Elves. So, placing Night Elf spies in Quel’thalas later on contradicts the previously established lore.
In general, TBC is an absolute disaster from a story perspective. Not just regarding the Blood Elves, but also when it comes to Illidan and the Draenei. But many tend to view it through nostalgia. WoW just doesn’t have a solid story, and that didn’t start with WoD.
YOu hit the homerun. I think we lost the story, when we started chasing external threats.
We should stick to the concept of Horde the external enemy and Alliance the defendar of Azeroth.
This way, the horde gets to keep it attitude, that Loktar Ogar and you Alliance can be the proud defenders.
Not sure why we have to go chasing on all external threats when we can create conflicts here.
As a Horde Orc for 10 years, i hate everything about Alliance, you all have these beautiful robes, tavern music, while we have to fight everyday for our lives.
This way we stick to the story and players who decided to chose their player path get to live that fantasy.
I will admit it, I loved every moment of it when the Tree was burnt down, this way you feel how we felt to lose our home.
But, i hated it when they killed Varian, they did not have to do that to get the emotion out of us. They did not have to kill Garrosh, they could have worked out and pun shied him. This way the story can keep going on.
Killing off dominant leaders to put us through a council and expecting Horde to bend the knee is just not the way of the Horde.
In my Opinions Garosh no matter how bad he was, he put Horde first. We need a leader like that. We came to conquer Azeroth not be a part of diplomatic council.
The Horde champion at the end of the story all Horde player characters are just instantly deleted because their perma dead
Yes, they killed all our Warchiefs so you can be the superior faction. That is diplomacy for you.
So, the warmongers got outwarmongered? Lmao, get rekt.
u are leaving so out so many key details.
I giggled at this. They were strong but never for the Horde. Garrosh only cared about Orcs and Sylvanas saw the Horde as a means to an end (thanks to terrible writing).
Realistically strong leaders that were actually for the Horde would have been Vol’jin provided they didn’t kill him off right off the rip and Baine had Vol’jin not been controlled to give Sylvanas Warchief.
The Horde was about accepting the various tribes of people that no one else wanted. The misfits, DS Trolls for example. A Troll group that would have been wiped out because they weren’t savage enough for other Troll tribes.
In the end it all played out the same. The Horde had two Battles for Undercity, one which the Alliance had to help us get it back and Org where the Alliance had to help us again. Sure we could get a pass with drinking demon blood but people willingly followed Garrosh and Sylvannas. The Horde willingly repeats the same mistakes over and over again. The Horde will yet again follow another leader that promises them power and a chance at “winning”. This has been the story since MoP.
Too late to put the proverbial genie back in the bottle. Would be hard to go back at this point.
External threats were always present, they just werent always readily present or known. Lot of forces pulling strings and influencing things from behind the curtain.
Great examples:
- the black dragonflight destabilizing/corrupting Stormwind (and by extension the alliance) in classic wow, using the Defias Brotherhood as their pawns. Never revealing themselves (until Onyxia’s guise was forcefully dispelled).
- the legion using the plague (and the orcs of draenor) to destroy the Human and High elven Kingdoms to gain access to the sunwell.
Writing for the story/lore just isnt anywhere near as good as it was from WCI-Wotlk.
This will only end with more pain. Your boy king cannot step out side the house without someone holding his hand and look at your faction pride. Yall weak from the inside.

Garrosh only cared about Orcs
Orcs are the Horde.

Realistically strong leaders that were actually for the Horde would have been Vol’jin
He was weak. the moment he took the throne, he knew he was not built for it.

Too late to put the proverbial genie back in the bottle. Would be hard to go back at this point.
Not too late at all. Infinite dragons can manipulate time and paths. Eg : thrall

External threats were always present
Why make it a center of attention. We can fight here in Azeroth ? We find Titan energy here and start a story line. We only need faction war, what is with this diplomacy and go fight external wars, when we can wage a massive war right here.
That is what I dont get.

We should stick to the concept of Horde the external enemy and Alliance the defendar of Azeroth.
Nah I am good with my Hero evolving to not be involved in trivial things and to work for the betterment of Azeroth herself.
We are not going to get those days back in the Gaming Age of Microtransactions.
You are still leaving out key details…

This difference in approach—Horde’s aggression versus Alliance’s diplomacy—can influence how compelling the content feels, depending on what kind of story or experience a player is seeking…
Really bored of this Alliance drama. We need to go back to our roots of “Blood & Thunder - Loktar Ogar”.
The best Alliance-parts are part of the books. That’s the problem.
