How Holy Dps looks so far

The Setup

  1. Holy Word: Chastise (1 min cooldown, lowered by 4 sec by Smite, also Holy Fire with Rune of Fire. Lowered further by Holy Oration and Light of the Naaru)
  2. Apotheosis (Resets HW: C) (2 min cooldown)
  3. HW: C
  4. Holy Fire (6 sec cooldown with Burning Vehemence)
  5. Empyreal Blaze (Resets Holy Fire) (30 sec cooldown)
  6. 3x Holy Fire
  7. Divine Word when HW: C comes off cooldown
  8. Holy Word: Chastise
  9. Spam Smite, use Holy Fire when it come off cooldown

The Alternative

  1. Silence somewhere on the Dps side.
  2. Maybe “Holy Word: Cremation” instead so we could have another aoe dps ability.
  3. Love.

Is the setup complicated? Is it too many buttons? Will it do less damage than Fury Warrior? Idk, I don’t have Alpha.

What a cringe title.

Maybe just focus on healing first.

Well you’re definitely not gonna be burning apotheosis for damage outside like open world content. Same with divine word.

But to humor the thread - in the case that you are trying to maximize DPS, you should be using Apoth after your empyreal. You don’t want to give up the chastise resets that Smite will generate. And Divine word you should probably save for your last chastise before you go back to Smite spamming (in order to get Holy Fire resets).

At a glance (since I haven’t been able to just hit a target dummy or anything) doing max damage would be something like:

Precast Holy Fire > SW:P > Chastise > Empyreal Blaze > 3x Holy Fire > Apoth > Chastise > Smite x2 > Chastise > Smite x 2 > Chastise > Smite x 2 > Divine Word > Chastise > Spam Smite with holy fire when possible.

Kind of a macabre timeline we’re in where holy priests are talking about their damage rotation. Blizzard has surely opened Pandora’s box.
