How ergonomic is your WoW setup?

Curious to see what the outlay of desk setups is here on GD. I’m betting there’s a decent number of good setups.

I’ve been working on mine over the course of several years so it’s in pretty good shape.

  • Monitor is 27", mounted on a desk-clamp arm, raised so its center is aligned with my eyes, and is sitting approx 2 feet away from my face
  • Chair is an Embody with arms raised just slightly higher than desk surface to enable better typing form

It definitely wasn’t always like that though haha, back around MoP my “setup” was a 15.4" laptop in my lap while I was sitting with my legs up on a couch. I don’t know if I could do that these days without getting sore.

You only have 1 monitor ? How do you watch youtube or anything while playing ? You need to change that.

Mine isn’t unenjoyable to play WoW with but it’s pretty standard. Regular office chair, one laptop computer and a mouse.

I couldn’t function with only one monitor.

on topic: my setup is 0% ergonomic
I have wrist rest for my keyboard. that’s about as ergo as it gets.

Laptop + couch.

Nothing ergonomic about it at all.

Before I split my work and play setups I had two monitors, but the second monitor was much more valuable on the work setup, so my play setup is single monitor for the time being.

I’m terrible at watching or listening to things while I’m playing anyway. I can either watch/listen or play but not both, even for trivial things.

If I come across a cheap used monitor I wouldn’t be opposed to sticking it on the gaming setup though.

Let’s just say that I haven’t been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome yet. I have obtained 40 years of typing from these wrists so far.

At home it’s a basic office chair at a 4x3 table with a gaming keyboard, mmo mouse, and a 27 inch monitor. At work it’s an ergonomic office chair at a wrap-around desk, with a 27 and 32 inch screen. Same mouse/keyboard.

Pretty good, pretty comfortable

Edit: I’m still mad Blizz took my picture posting rights away :weary:

I have a fairly comfortable but plane chair and three monitors. The primary monitor is 32 inches and 180hz. It’s really easy on the eyes.

I also have a low profile mechanical keyboard which helps with the wrists and what-not.

I use the setup for work as well as gaming though. I’ll often have work on one screen and a game on another. :stuck_out_tongue:

considering i can barely feel my left pinky and left foot anymore i’m gonna assume my setup scores about 0 on the ergonomic scale

I sit in weird positions that would make a contortionist scratch their head

dont think you’re cat is very happy of you taking a photo of him(?)

when I was setting up my pc. Sounds greedy but I could never have less than 3 monitors anymore. Probably because I use it for work as well. It only showed 2 monitor because I messed up and bought a very short cable for the 3rd monitor
