Ele Sham The Way To Go?

Hey all I’m looking at making a new ranged toon. I’ve never played shaman but outside of its damage how does ele do in raids, mythic, and pvp? I need something well rounded and I’ve narrowed down to ele, fire mage, or mm hunter.

Though it did get successfully derailed by the local forum troll. Please identify and do not feed the several trolls we have.
