I don’t disagree. I’m sure I’ll be able to make use of the space, even as temporary storage for mailing between alts before they can get to the bank.

So? I end up with all kinds of mats in my bags from picking things up around the world. I’m forever mailing cloth to my tailor, or herbs to my alchemist, or skins to my leatherworker, on other characters who got them from 
whatever out in the world, who knows, I don’t read white loot until I’m cleaning out my bags lol.
TL;DR it is still useful to have a place where all reagents will go.

It looks like there’s a cooking accessory slot in the interface, too.
I really appreciate the bag, but I’m concerned about how it’s just freeing up a bag I’m already using for that purpose.
Would really like the infinite reagent bag like in ESO. Especially when we are going to continue to have more materials to put into it.

I can’t see my Reagent Bag slot! I bought the expansion, but it doesn’t show up on any of my toons. I didn’t even know there was one until a friend of mine logged in and said he had one on his account. I opened a ticket to find out why I can’t see mine, but does anyone know how to fix this so that I can see that it’s there? Oh, and the ticket says that I’ll get a response in “37 DAYS!” WoW!!!
Reagent Bags will be something that only Dragonflight professions can make. Blizzard accidentally enabled the slot too early, and it’s already been hidden until DF actually launches.
yeah… ticket times are super high right now, because people keep opening tickets for things which GMs can’t help with.
I was wondering because a friend of mine logged in today and he’d been offline for 8 months and his showed up. I’ve been playing daily and I can’t see mine.

Mathaylla is right, the slot is DF only and will be enabled then.
The bags come from two sources that I know of and hold any type of item that fits in the reagent bank slot. First source is a quest you get in the Ruby Life Shrine. Later Tailors can make two different sized ones.
If you have a ticket open, you can cancel that 
There is nothing they can help with related to that bag slot.

I can see the slot now. In fact I used that “currency stuff” that drops in the pre-quest dailies to buy a small reagent bag from the “stuff” vendor. It’s now equipped. Thanks all for the help.
The slot appeared the first week and disappeared the second week then appeared again when the pre-patch dropped.
Ya, you can get the one from the event vendor and it goes in that slot.

I was talking about the game, as it existed, on the day the questions were asked. A week ago when I posted that, it was accurate. Always look at the dates on posts if they don’t make sense especially where game changes and patches are concerned.
The game has changed since I posted. On Tuesday we got the Pre-DF patch and events in which they enabled the bag slot again because they gave us a bag for it that we can buy with currency from the event.
Only costs 5 so worth getting for all your chars. You can send the currency cross bnet account so even the low levels can go buy one.
Today Nov 25th I tried to put my fishing pole into that grayed out bag and it took it. I no longer can open the window that opened with it…but my fishing pole is now gone but in that bag. But looking at myself in Orgrimmar, I’m holding that fishing pole even though my character stats show me with my wand. I’m on my mage right now.
the vendor from the prepatch sells some and they auto equip like what happens when you equip a bag
its now equiped in your profession tab. i been leveling professions on my dracthyr
Further investigation: I now have the fishing pole at command when fishing and will show holding that pole until I attack something and then it automatically shows as my staff.
its just a new bag slot specifically for the reagent bag in DF.
you buy it and usually it just works when you open your bags
