How do you not notice dead allies?

I absolutely agree.

I just don’t think the same rules apply to PuG content. To pretend pugging isn’t every man for themselves is laughable. Every stranger gets together and everyone is responsible for each other’s roles. Period. To expect more than that is to set yourself for disappointment.

Do what you can, but always remember that your survival is your responsibility.

i do. but if somebody dies, i don’t agree with not brezzing them just because they should have not died.

Oh I agree with that too. Sorry, you misunderstand me. They should brez if they can. IF.

What I don’t agree, is that they should always have the awareness of being johnny on the spot with a brez just on account of having the ability. And more so, I don’t agree that it is the “brezers” fault if they wipe and he didn’t use it on that one dps that died. One dps that dies, is rarely the reason a wipe ever happens. A whole other set of problem was happening there that a brez wasn’t going to solve.

As a DK I can just sense when a corpse is nearby

I guess some of us pull an Anduin and lose their light temporarily

Oh my god this drives me nuts too. I’m about ready to play a class with a brez because of how little I see people actually use their brez.

I completely disagree with this, there’s plenty of abilities that even pure DPS classes have that benefit the whole group.

The amount of times I’ve saved my group with Mass Barrier as a mage in a PUG I can’t even keep track of anymore. If things are going sideways and the healer doesn’t have any CDs up, if I hadn’t used that Mass Barrier to save us we would have for sure wiped.

Saving my group IS saving myself. I would have died too if other people in my group died.

I know it happens but sometimes theres some factors:

The Brezzer is in the middle of a burst window/cooldown usage.

Doenst have the resources to brez (like in the case of Paladin and DK) or its on CD.

Its in a currently dangerous phase, aka lots of aoe in the ground which has a 70% chance of insta killing the person getting rezzed if they dont wait it out.

As a healer main it usually makes me furious when someone does a brez that is not called for by the tank. Why? Because those brezzes take away my ability to brez the tank for 10 minutes. TEN minutes! Unless we are on the last boss and the tank clearly has the situation handled, of course.

I might brez a top DPS-er, but usually I won’t unless the tank wants it.

I love it when I am asked by a DPS to brez them where we just started the dungeon and are very close to the entrance, too. Expecially when we are not on a boss. Also, I cannot standard rez anyone if I or anyone in the group are in combat. There is no use asking for it if I cannot catch a moment (that is all it takes) between combat pulls to get you back up. My rezzes are keybound, but if the tank is a chain-puller who never slows down, I cannot rez you.

As a dk my goal is to keep people dead

Poor situational awareness, not only that but a good portion of players are selfish so it doesn’t faze me that people aren’t a team player in a team activity.

I find it super frustrating when I’m in a TW with long run-backs when people insta-release, not allowing me even a chance to rez them after a boss fight.

In M+, if I don’t brez someone, it’s either because I’m waiting for a mechanic to cycle out first so they don’t get insta-dead again, or I’m saving it because the boss is almost dead, so we don’t need to use it up, OR we’re in one of those dungeons that I stop pouring heals into the tank for even a single GCD, he’s gonna die.

It’s never because I didn’t see the teammate die.

Correct me if I’m wrong but are brezzes off the GCD?

Also people can see if brez is off CD. I’ll even see people build groups to make sure there’s a lust and brez and not a single brez will go out the entire key even though 1 person dies and we finish fighting the trash/boss with brez up and that person stays dead the entire time. It’s wild.

IMO that’s on the person being brezzed. If I get a brez and it’s a dangerous time to rez, I wait a bit until it’s not.

I always try to rez someone, even in open world content lol.

Yes, it’s on the player, but as the healer handing them out, if I don’t know you, I don’t know that you’re trustworthy about this…and I’m not going to just waste a battle rez in a pug.

I think? but like i said, some classes do need to use resources to use it, like Paladin needing Holy Power or DK with Runic Power.

It is, but in pug’s life, do you really wanna trust a stranger to know when to wait?

I get that but I’ve had many lower keys where not a single brez even goes out at all, even though there were plenty of times to use them.

I don’t know what’s going on but maybe people are too afraid of wasting them, but then there end up being none lol.

Ditto…and I’m always a bit sad when they are actually not there and don’t take it.

I buff people out in the world, too.

If we’re picking the same herb, boom-versatility buff.
If we’re tagging the same mobs in a world quest, druid buff for you.
If I see a dead player corpse…you’re gonna get a rez.

In a dungeon, though, if someone drops in the middle of combat, I’m gonna wait until the floor is clear before I pull you up.

I do, because the alternative to me is never using brez, and then it’s already wasted because I didn’t use it. I’d rather trust in my team and potentially not wipe, than wipe because I didn’t use brez.

That’s just generally how I approach PUGs, trust in my team and go along with what they want to do, because if we’re working as a team there’s a higher chance of success.

In lower keys, who knows. It could be any number of things. I’m always shocked when I run into other druids who don’t soothe enrages and don’t have brez keybound.

Like…what are we doing?
