100%. It does make too much sense. I wish that it would be that way with someone, you know? Even though sometimes we don’t realize it.
I think best way to keep believing in those stories is to believe in what you know and embrace it.
And thank you for shimming in… we as people need to remember that there are real people behind those monitors playing a game with other people where sometimes you wish you’d make a real friendship or relationship with someone through a video game. I think it’s a way of art style and I believe it can be beautiful.

Ive found the best way to make friends is just be silly.
Even in leveling dungeons where no one really talks. Cracking jokes goes a long way.
Most of my friends have come from leveling dungeons from doing that lol.
Tbh a lot of people want to talk, they just don’t want to be the first.
It would be more popular if you weren’t being so mean 
Tbh my feathers aren’t ruffled. Heck. Back in my wow “prime”, I made a TON of friends from angry pms back and forth.
Y’all just insult each other for awhile then it turns into laughing and whatever and adding each other lol.
“Toxic” pvp server things. But stuff like that used to happen in old school cod and ow1. Trash talking turns into friendship.

Absolutely this. Even doing the /joke in-game can help. Nobody ever really does that in retail anymore. Noticed it a lot more in classic though.
I always say hi and sometimes make random comments throughout, like if I’m doing timewalking I like to say “oh this brings me back” or “it’s been years since I did this one”.
Then someone might mention they started playing recently so they never played through the expansion that we’re timewalking in, and we have a nice conversation about how they are liking the game and all that.
Even if it doesn’t lead to a friendship, it’s just nice to have those moments.

This. While everyone has their preferences and there is nothing wrong with that, for me personally height just doesn’t matter, whether absolute or relative. If someone isn’t okay with my height that’s fine, just like if I’m not okay with their personality that’s fine too (and not infantile, no matter what some people say).

I realize this looks dumb, but height is important to me, I don’t know why but I attracted to short men. It’s some kind of punishment.
I just want to feel fragile and weak around men. I don’t want to be like a tauren and gnome
