Practice on dummies not using cooldowns. Helps learn the rotations
And good job trying to get better. That’s more than a huge chunk of the playerbase

A very super easy one is go to The town of Haven in ZM and buy some 226 catchup gear. Your rogue is 203 ilvl and you can by the catchup gear with Anima.
Also complete the ZM storeyline to get your free unity leggo.
Also pick up a legendary from the AH, no need to get a 291 off the get go. Get yourself a 210-235 to learn the ropes.
when you figure it out hit me up im still trash at this game after 15 years
1.) Set realistic expectations: You can be the most perfect rogue who ever rogued - in your current gear, you’re not even going to tickle compared to most other 60s. Do ZM, get at least 226 ilvl in all slots.
2.) Once your gear is at least ilvl 226, Icy Veins for your basic rotations for Single Target & AOE.
3.) WeakAuras to track the abilities you need to hit on cooldown.
4.) Smack dummies for hours to build muscle memory.
These things work for me.
Get gud!!
Sorry, couldn’t resist
There are multiple ways to increase your dps:
Gear plays a big role. You’ll want to ensure you understand which secondary stats are best for you and find gear with those stats.
Proper rotation/build - You’ll want to research your rotation/build and ensure that you are optimizing it. Keep in mind that this might change based on the content you are doing (or even boss to boss).
Knowledge of fights - At first you might see lower dps because you have to learn when to move and when you can stand still, but as you become more knowledgeable about fights, you should naturally see dps improvements.
I highly recommend you visit the class/spec discord for your chosen class. There are probably lots of resources available for you as well as people who could answer your specific questions.
Start by swapping your highest ilvl weapon into your mainhand. (left one)
Check some of these guides:
This is the rogue discord, has more FAQ’s and Guides:
If DBZ has taught me anything, you increase your DPS by screaming for hours till you turn blonde…
also depending on what part of dbz we are talking about that happening, you might also have to watch your best friend explode infront of you.
i mean that in the blow up way, not in the other way you creeps.
How did I increase my dps?
I swapped from BM hunter to Survival after getting my 4pc and havent looked back.
Look up:
rotation guides
what secondary stats you need to look for on gear
what legendaries you need
what the best covenant for you is
what the best consumables for you are
and patience, because learning all these things takes time
If that character is the one you’re having problems on, i have good news. Assassination is very beginner friendly. Simple spec, slower pace, but powerful.
You can start here on WoWhead, or on Icy-Veins. They’ll have roughly the same info
Also some people use the addon, Hekili, to help them with their rotations. I don’t use it but my raid leader friend does and highly recommends it.
Basically, do what you’re told in regards to talent choices and rotations + gear.
Or do what every one else is doing do pvp for gear all the geared people will gear u up fast
^^^^^^This^^^^^
I can tell by your gearing you are completely lost, as pointed out by this guy you need to swap your main and offhand weapons just to start. Until you start knowing what you’re doing you can just rely on item level to choose the better item.
Run around Zareth Mortis for gear and reputation. Having to kill things will get you used to the buttons you are supposed to use and give you a better feel for the game. Queue up for Sepulcher looking for raid when your item level reaches the minimum. Don’t worry about not knowing what you’re doing in LFR, nobody else does either. Just follow the pack.
Have some friends carry you through M+ for gear (I assume you have friends because the game would not default put you in the full Illidan server. Although that is a mostly Horde server. Are your friends Horde?)
First you get a cookie cutter.
Then you bake cookies.
Now your good.
Welcome.
Good dps is primarily dependent on your character’s facial hair. Gear, rotation, and talent setup combined have less impact on output than maintaining a stylish beard.
That’s tricky question, haste most likely with a combination of mana the faster the missiles and spell play the more dps.
If you click abilities with a mouse one of the biggest things you can do that will impact your dps is to use keybinds. You get a lot of wasted movement going back and forth with a mouse.
Use a dps meter so you can track your dps and see what if any progress you are making.
There are addons that can help with rotations (not all are correct but it can be a start.) I wouldn’t use them in dungeons or raids but they can be decent to use on dummies to get the rhythm of the spec down. A quick search leads me to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua3UDIFspZw&ab_channel=WoWdoc

Use valor to upgrade the items that have your best secondary stats.
It looks like you still need your primary legendary.
You want to make sure to gem and enchant your gear. It can feel like a waste on gear you know you will replace in a couple of days but they are really cheap.
Make sure to use oils, flasks, food and potions.
Keep pushing your M+ score. Right now is a great time to get into M+ as people are farming valor and are looking for others who have a 0 score in the dungeon.
i roll my face across the keyboard. 60% of the time it works every time.
You need moar dots!
