How do you handle the packs of three bomb guys in delves?

When I’m on my hunter it’s not really a problem because I can shoot from a distance, but on my monk I’m having some issues. I run in, hit them once, maybe twice if I’m lucky, then have to run out because of the explosion circles. This happens constantly and I end up with really low dps. How do you handle these as a melee class?

I just do my usual “unstoppable juggernaut of justice” thing. Consecrate, build holy power, bash them with my shield, use Word of Glory as required.

AoE, use Pocket Factory and they go down pretty fast.

Interrupts for my warrior. I charge in, Mountain Thane them as much as possible, AOE interrupt when I can (Shockwave, talented AOE Stormbolt) then run away whenever one of them dies and drops all the bombs. It’s really their DoTs that tend to get me dangerously close to perishing.

On my Rogue I pop Evasion and go to town on them. Use cloak before using Killing Spree, usually they’re dead or close to dead afterwards.

On my Warrior, reflect Gold Fuse, burn one down at a time, stay out of the AoE. Once they start doing the AoE they’re not actively punching you, which removes the biggest threat: They just punch REALLY hard.

AoE stuns like Shockwave and Leg Sweep help a bunch, too!

On my mage, I open big with Touch of the Magic that kills the first one and maims the other two. Then I tab target slow and finish them off while moving out of bomb circles.

On my warrior I charge in, do whatever then move on and let DPS Brann deal with them because thinking isn’t required for prot in delves. The notice pops up when they’re dead.

Interesting, didn’t think reflect would work. Something to keep in mind should I develop an interest in playing her seriously again.

Spell Reflect is exceptionally handy. If it has a cast bar, chances are you can reflect it. And all the reflections hit really hard.

Combined with the low CD of Pummel, you have a lot of protection against spellcasters in addition to the onslaught of on demand CC.

I use the Mechasaur and Blueprint curios on all characters now.
If need be, every fight becomes “run away while the dinos melt the enemies”.

Either way, on melee, just pop a defensive and burst one, CC the other(s) if need be.

Since almost every single char of mine is doing fine with DPS Brann in T11s, it goes down even faster.

P.S.: Priest is the most fun I have on a Delve with Dominate Mind and OP NPC abilities.

Pick up a single potion from healer brann and AoE. Can face tank them at that point.

Oh I agree, spell reflecting Web Bolts in T11s last season was chef’s kiss. :joy:

I usually just cry…err I mean…cry and hope Branns AI is behaving that day.

Also is it me or does he actually work better the harder the delve is.

Personally I just stand to the side and watch them run back and forth while using any ranged abilities I have.

Dodge circles and cleave them down. Not much to it.
