I would say there’s a 50/50 shot you get pugs who are good, but you don’t fail the content 50% of the time with pugs, a little bit of semantics I know.
Organized groups are not a fix to clearing content? Do you even do any content in the game beyond world content, or have you ever done any content above LFR or random battlegrounds? This statement is bewildering.
Edit - According to your own comments on the forum you don’t do any content, not even heroic dungeons, because reasons. You almost trolled me.
I agree that if you want to get serious about group content, a guild is the way to go. I am a little biased though because I’ve been in a good guild that has stayed relatively drama free for a few years now. They’re good people and we all have a good laugh while playing the game.

They should complain. Solo players need a gear progression system in this game if it want to survive the long term.
Blizzard hasn’t understood this yet and that is why the game has declined for so many years now. It continues to decline! 
Slow add new regulars. I don’t know what classes you and your wife run but if there isn’t a healer, add one of those first, build trust.
Due to a lack of content a lot of players are just going through motions.
Edit: Feel free to ping me. I love Torghast and have a pretty solid handle on what powers to build in order to get good synergy.
Doing that achievement in PUGs should be an achievement in itself. I started working upon it with two guild mates and it will stay that way until we get it done.

Then I guess I made a non-existent achievement today! We actually cleared it with 3 dps pugs with a 207 score. Everyone actually listened to no epics.
They should complain that they refuse to make friends or find a guild to do organized group content with? That’s like eating fast food and drinking a 2 litter of soda everyday and getting mad that you get fat and turn diabetic.

It’s stupid that the score system lowers your score for picking purple powers.
The whole torghast scoring systems pretty garbage. Was fine before all of it.
I meant I’ll never come back to it in layer 12, only 9 for mount chance.
