I had the highest grades in my math program. lol. I am just going to post the previous example again and spell it out in more words. Hopefully you will get it, but I’m not optimistic.
In a closed population, if 12 women have sex with 12 men:
Average for women = (1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1)/12 = 1
Average for men = (1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1)/12 = 1
If the same 12 women instead have sex with 1 (out of 12) men:
Average for women = (1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1)/12 = 1
Average for men = (12+0+0+0+0+0+0+0+0+0+0+0)/12 = 1
You can change 12 to any number you want (say, some number in the billions) and consider more sexual encounters. The averages are always going to be the same considering the equal number of sexually active men and women in the world.
