How do you feel about old dungeons being included in Mythic+?

It’s a nice way to keep M+ from getting too stale over the course of the expansion. My complaint is having season one not be all DF dungeons before implementing it. Now nobody’s going to touch Neltharus, Halls, or Brackenhide for weeks (including Blizzard until S2 PTR tuning comes along), then complain about having to relearn a new dungeon that was only relevant for 2 weeks.

Personally, I think m+ instances should be completely separate instances from the leveling instances, and preferably, m+ would be relegated to it’s own server to minimize the bleed over of toxicity that m+ players with that gogogo rushrushrush attitude bring into regular PvE. Keep that nastiness in m+ where it can fester and stew away from regular PvE.

Semper Fi! :us: :ukraine:

Ah a fellow vet!

As a soldier, i have to ask. What flavor of crayon is best?

I’ve quite enjoyed running some of the old dungeons again. Though some of the tuning could be tweaked to even em out. Jade serpent requires no trash counting, which is cool by me, but those water fellas sting a bit.
Court of stars is still…well court of stars. It’s not bad if you can remember the routing and get the “where’s waldo” solved pretty efficiently.
I’d definitely rather run those two than freakin Oculus 2.0 or some of the others. Just waiting to see Freehold fall back into rotation  that will be like sleepwalking in a dungeon.

If people like it, that’s fine. But I don’t think it should be in the first season. It breaks immersion with the new expansion, imo. Make the next seasons include this. Not the very first one two weeks into a new expansion with all new stuff.

I played very sporadically for the past few expansions aside from mid-Shadowlands onward, so the majority of the dungeons are new for me. I do wish the first season included only DF dungeons, and then old dungeons start cycling in during subsequent seasons, but I don’t really mind either way. I kind of like the inclusion of old dungeons.

Still would have preferred Timewalking M+ to them just being baked into the main rotation.

Taking a break from the main season objectives to work on something a bit more evergreen every few weeks is more appealing to me.

You played the M+ version of these dungeons in chromie time?

This “old content” thing is every dungeon past 50 runs.

You run Ruby Pools 50 times, it becomes old. Having to run it for 2 years without any rotation is the exact kind of hell we had back in BfA.

Re-using dungeons to fit in the M+ season is a nice change of pace, a nice change for our eyes and if you’re so keen on running only the new dungeons, you can always go and run them in M0 or Heroic Mode.

Big fan. Same 8 dungeons gets boring. Now give me M+ Wailing Caverns.

They actually feel better than the new dungeons imo.

That said I do like the new dungeons, it just seems like there is less crap going on mechanics wise in places like Jade, SMBG…much less crap on the ground, but maybe it’s because I played the hell out of those dungeons when they were relevant.

I think it was great for Blizzard to recycle old content back into the game. There is 18 years of history and every time a new expansion comes out they get thrown into the wind. When seasons last 8-9 months at a time, learning new routes and dungeons is fine.

I hate it.
The old dungeons should be timewalking only.

Either that, or–and this is the preferred idea–bring all old content into the new xpacs. Artifact weapons, Heart of Azeroth, garrisons… use once and done? Why?

It’s a weird thematic mix that doesn’t make them feel like they’re part of the expansion.

I think its really good for the m+ scene and stops the seasons from becoming stale.

I love the addition of older dungeons, what I dislike is some of the dungeon choices.

Court of Stars is garbage

I feel like they should have let players vote on the old dungeons but que sera, sera.

I love it. It keeps old dungeons relevant and breathes new life into them. The changes they’ve made to the first boss of Jade Temple are fun

All the matters is that they keep them balanced, and despite complaints around here I’ve yet to see anything particularly heinous about Jade Temple or Burial Grounds (haven’t tried the other two yet)

In fairness, last time they let us do that we got Grimrail Depot

It’s garbage. DF has an increased box price and WoW still commands a sub fee—we got old dungeons and one freakin’ loading screen. M+ should always be new dungeons to start with older ones added in later.

I agree. I’d rather play new content than a rehash of stuff I’ve already played to death.
