none of the new combos they added make sense lore wise either but lore can be changed so “Because the lore says” means nothing anymore. If they don’t give us DH for every race then Blizzard lied yet again like they did about Overwatch PvE and we all know how that ended up
It has more to do with metamorphosis. A nb and a velf could just use the nelf and belf forms without much issue, and maybe just a bit of work on the DH exclusive skins if they’re offered.
That’s why those are the only ones brought up, because it’s less work vs anything to do with lore.

oh don’t worry it wouldn’t stop me from loving it if I truly liked it.
if anything truly stops me from being a demon hunter it’s a combo of it’s rotation and that I have to be a night elf for ally.
If I could be a orc, human or draenei i’d 100% give my demon hunter some more love.

Those who complain about Havoc Demon Hunter lacking skill in 2024 either haven’t touched the class in years or are simply angry that they suck at their own class. 
My guess is that Illidan will return eventually, most likely in last titan and we’ll get something similar with Bolvar where new Demon Hunters are made either to fight against the light, void or something else. The biggest hurdle is metamorphosis to be honest. I think it would be a good idea to make a more “human” form of meta where it’s just shadowy and stuff instead to cut down the work. Also less complaining about a huge demon zooming around the screen.

Technically Eredar is the race all of them are. With Draenei just being Blue ones and Man’ari being the Red ones. With the Man’ari being the only ones with enough Fel to be classified as a whole as demons. Granted one of the Burning Legion’s leader still has Blue skin…sooo…it’s up in the air.
Actually no, that does NOT mean they lied. They’ve NEVER said that all classes will become available to all races. That’s just misinformation.
All that was said, is that they would ideally like to find a way to make them all work. Which is a very PC/corporate way to say yes and no at the same time.
The only confirmed Combo/lack there of. Is Evoker. They’ve said it won’t go beyond Dracthyr.
It means a great deal to some people. I wouldn’t be surprised if they stopped the unlocks because of complaints. Like the new Earthen race can’t be all classes.
They all do actually. They’ve made lore up for each one, that MOSTLY fits the bill. The weirdest ones being the Warlock unlocks. But that kinda still fits since anyone can want power.
Like Orcs were even given their own type of priesthood through spirit magic instead of the light.
Honestly I see no reason why they can’t give Meta back to Warlock. Like…in SoD Meta is just a tanking form for them, and it looks different from DH Metamorphosis.
So let’s hope it eventually returns.
I don’t find making specs more complicated fun, anyway. This expansion has been looking at rogue and saying “what other buttons can we give them? What about more procs? OK, but what if they all run shadow dance so they need their stealth bar to match their unstealth bars so that when they duck in and out of stealth they can still continue their rotation? I think outlaw needs more if/then builders and spenders to keep them in their toes”

Are you complaining about options and variety of abilities to use in an RPG?
Like would you prefer it if every class went back to the brain dead 3 button combos when the ability prune happened? You don’t have to use every ability, and MOST classes that have a lot of options, have you only push them situationationally.
I don’t have the interview link anymore apparently but the devs have changed that lore. Illidan just didn’t want non elves now, not that other races can’t become demon hunters.

Outlaw has not been a two button spec in years.
They took the shadow dance burst play style from sub and hammered it into all 3 specs. Each spec used to have more defined play styles now they’re all more similar and I hate it.
Now outlaw is all about use 1 of 3 builders depending on if you’re in stealth, or if you have a proc. Roll the bones until you get something good. Only use between the eyes while stealthed because it has no cd then. Otherwise, use dispatch or you will put bte on cd and be unable to burst. I don’t like it. I preferred other versions of outlaw.

I like DHs but my fav class is DKs. When I used to pvp, I loved being able to chain up DHs, suddenly slowing them down and I’d do it over and over because I hit like a wet noodle.
Still, it was fun wasting their time.
I mean, even in the OG lore I don’t think it ever states non-elves can’t be Demon Hunters. Just that Illidan didn’t teach or train them. So I wouldn’t necessarily call that a retcon.
And like I’ve said before, I’m totally down to see more options. Like I still want a Dracthyr Hunter, Paladin, or Druid really really badly…but who knows if they’ll ever give us that.
Since the Earthen aren’t coming with all classes either.
It really doesn’t take skill to play a demon hunter right now, even with how simple most specs are right now dh is a outlinder.

This. Too much visual input on the DH. I can only play it for short stretches before eye strain/headaches begin.
I’m also not an elf person. Hopefully that restriction will get loosened in the future.

They’re a pain in the butt in small questing areas doing their gimmicky jump-glide everywhere.
It’s just a class. I don’t like playing it but if you do power to ya.
I prefer rogue or shammy play style
