I jump in the Jacuzzi before going out to fight. That’s why all Worgen have that “wet dog” smell in combat.

That could very well be the reason, that Frostmourne somehow severs that connection, or maybe even Frostmourne sends the soul directly to the Maw, bypassing the Arbiter entirely.

Actually, now that you brought that idea up, it makes perfect sense. Frostmourne was given to Arthas to raise an army. While he assumed he was merely using it to raise his army, in actuality he was raising an army in the Maw for the Jailer to use.
OMG a retcon that actually makes sense.

Well… almost. When we defeat Arthas at Icecrown and Frostmourne is shattered, we presumably see all the souls it had taken get released. We would have to believe that Zovaal lost them all from the Maw, though perhaps that’s around the time he started working with Denathrius for a new source of souls.
There you go pointing out details from previously lore that can ruin their retconned mess. Stop that now!
