So I ran this toon at level 85 in a BG and there was a Demon Hunter there in full end game mythics and he was stomping everyone in the BG. Now I am level 87. Armory is not updating it seems. But yea how he is did that? It was an average regular queue BG. He didnt scale down very well cuz a few of us killed him.
Death Knights could not go into a low level bg in full ICC gear and start killing lots of low level players. So I’m all like what? Yea no way. So um yea.

Party sync, and I am pretty sure they don’t account for corruptions with that system.
So basically an exploit. This guy was rocking lots of 500 gear. But he did so bad that i guess the only way he can gank is in a low level bg
Exploit? The entire point of party sync is to scale down to do dungeons/bgs/quests/etc. w/ your lower lvl friends.
Don’t blame the player for Blizz’s scaling systems.

Only the neck goes past 500 and only the cloak reaches 500 exactly.

I said basically. He had maxed out gear and everyone else had crappy leveling gear.
The definition of an exploit is to “utilize your talents to expose an opponents weakness when they have no chance of success or retaliation”.
You guys are under the impression that World of Warcraft invented the word exploit… they did not.
It is not even exclusively a gaming term either.
That definition right there is what it is and that is exactly what he did.
The dev team disabled all set bonuses beyond a certain level to avoid this, they disabled multiboxing /follow in battlegrounds to avoid this.
They made gear now have a max level of effectiveness for gems and enchants to avoid this.
They disabled allowing players with locked XP to join in regular BGs to avoid this.
And now we have party sync. Same exact thing, different name.
It isn’t basically anything.
I still killed him so jokes on him. But still. He stomped many others there.
They scale poorly that is why I was able to do so.

He’s using PARTY SYNC for it’s literal, stated, intended purpose. Of scaling his lvl down to play w/ lower lvl friends.
Whether or not you approve of the scaling system is different

Why not? Literally everyone can do it.
