I’ve played rogue for a very long time. Still my favorite class, I can’t help but feel gimped though. Frequently asking what I bring to the table in raids/M+. I play sub because it’s fun even if outlaw is better. I’ve been benched recently on a team because “lack of utility” and “other classes are just better”. Melee in general get shafted all the time. Why bring a rogue when you can bring almost any other class? We don’t offer any substantial buffs, or do better than average damage. Also the fact that we are melee. We have cloak to soak certain mechanics (gimping our DPS btw) and whatnot but we are still less of a priority next to classes with buffs or better utility. I used to be a cutting edge player but now heroic raiding will satisfy me as I have obligations and a life. That being said, I’m at a point where I still want to upgrade my gear and play my rogue but can’t find a team to progress with. AOTC is unlikely as pug groups want players who are already AOTC. I’m 9/10H with 0 pulls on Sire because no one wants to give me a shot even with decent parses and Raider IO. I’ve been reduced to doing a few M+ every week and a bit of PVP in hopes that I can get an upgrade from the vault. Not trying to sound whiny or anything, but why bring a rogue to your party?
I thought about maybe giving rogues a shadow clone ability to place a fake copy of themselves at a certain location. That would be a cool soak utility for us.
Buffing our damage a bit, maybe reverting how shuriken storm used to give us combo stacks for increase damage back like in Tomb of Sargeras.
Flat out Eviscerate damage buff.
Just make us useful, and more of a DPS priority for a group invites, playing alone isn’t fun. Pugging can get tedious.
