They are probably closer to the Borg in Star Trek to where they assimilate Gnomes. As evidenced by all the Gnomes on the boards talking about race changing. Looks like they are assimilating some Goblins too. Oh dear.

They’re not 100 percent robotic. I’m sure they still have the parts or at least store the biological components before they get any upgrades to their lower half.
