I understand your frustration. I’m also disappointed that my characters seem to get weaker as they level up. Logically, it makes no sense—it’s like making more money but everything becomes more expensive the more you make, ultimately making you poorer. It’s frustrating because this seems like an issue that could be easily fixed.
They could easily implement a legacy buff for older content or adjust the scaling so that characters get stronger as they level up. This would help maintain a sense of progression and keep previous content engaging without feeling overly difficult.
But then again, I’m just a developer who has created a few games, so it might be more complicated than it seems.
This can happen as you level due to scaling. It evens out as you get to a higher level and get more gear. Rogue can also be a difficult class to solo with at times unless you know what you’re doing. It requires some finesse to do right, smart use of cooldowns and crowd control. I would classify rogue as a fairly high skill cap class.
If you’re looking for a smoother time, a class like hunter is excellent because you can have a pet tank for you, or a class like paladin which has multiple self heals.
