That is exactly what freedom of speech means.
Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences.
If you go around and slander someone, you can be sued for it.
If you write false information about people, you can be hit with a law suit.
Shout bomb, shout fire, threaten someone, etc etc.
Yeah, all of that is punishable.
You don’t get to say whatever you want or express whatever you want without consequence.
This is why anti-intellectualism took root in the U.S.
