How do I remove the in game Authentcator hard sell?

Ah, thank you. I didn’t know about that.

I always told them no when I was buying a $2 adapter or whatnot. Seemed pretty intrusive at the time.

i probably am! i dont have facebook, or instagram or tiktok or… i dunno what else there is, i try not to pay attention…

i do admit to having a twitter. i signed up for it during wrath when there was the mtn dew code red promo or something… something with the battle bots… but in all the years ive had it, i think i have around 100 tweets total? mostly me drunkenly tweeting Dana White and other UFC fighters during the events… the rest are for promotions and give a ways. lol

It does work well, used it when my phone was broken.

ROFLMAO :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I’m going to guess the edge case of having stable internet access, an acceptable PC, $15/month, and no cell phone is a pretty narrow sliver of players. The bag space is an incentive to get the app. What are you supposed to do? Somehow continue your life with a couple less bag spaces in a video game. Thankfully, you can toss most of that old corruption gear now!

Someone will probably make an addon to remove it from view.

My phone number is sitting right in my account info on their website already. Have never received any unwanted calls from them.

You can still buy the physical Authentcator you just have to look around my last one died and I was able to buy one off Amazon couple weeks ago…I hate cell phone one…I don’t trust it. I got physical one for like $9.00 off Amazon.

I don’t care about the bag spaces, actually. My post was in response to someone’s snarky comment about players who aren’t using the app deserving security problems.

‘Activision Tracking Software’

not having an authenticator is pretty ridiculous.

this is some alex jones quality paranoia

Agreed. With proper account/passcode management players should never run into issues using their account normally. The authenticator is a safety net for the myriad of terrible passcodes in use in any account database. The facade of general online privacy notwithstanding, we should hold companies responsible for securing our accounts properly.

Easy solution. Don’t have FB/Whatspp/Instagram on your phone. And use Firefox with Facebook Container so FB can’t scrape your web browser.

I have been using Firefox ever since it came out …to me its best web browser around.

How do you think you’re not already tagged by playing the game and having an account?

Earth ≠ flat.

Of course it isn’t.

They would never collect and try to monetize data about their users. You would have to be insane to think a company like Activision would try to do that or be interested in things like what other games you have on your phone, how often you play them… That would be totally pointless market research. And it’s not like we all have phones.

And they would never sell it to “Trusted partners” for fee to be considered trusted.

Corporations doing that… you would have to be CRAZY to think that.

No one is doubting they would sell your info, they are doubting because THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR INFO. The authenticator gives me nothing they don’t already have.
