In the Firelands raid drops a toy as well as the staff. Once you get the toy or the staff you can go to a barber shop and pick the flame cat appearance permanently.

I just heard that there’s are small seeds scattered around the place. Does that unlock the appearance too?
I don’t think the seeds do, no. They’re just temporary. Just remember: As others have said, if it doesn’t drop for your Druid, if you have other characters that can use a staff, you can try to get it on those characters as well. You just need the staff unlocked in your transmog for your druid to be able to get the flame cat look at the barbershop.

No, there’s 2 kinds of seeds there. One for temporary fire cat form(useless), and others for Tarecgosa legendary quest.

I didnt take any chances, I did it on my druids just in case there was an issue. I got it the second time through I think.
The toy is rare. It took me hundreds of runs to get. But it still works as a toy, so I can still use the Druid of the Flame appearance when I’m in the mood, even though I have cat form set to a different one.

You can run it twice now on the same toon, too. Once on normal, once on heroic!

You don’t need the firelands thing. Its just in the barbershop now.
It only becomes a barbershop option if you have looted the stave from Staghelm.
I have two brand new druids that have never been to firelands and have it.
Unless the staff could have been picked up to unlock the Druid appearance by a different class which wouldn’t make much sense.
It is one if the Legion artifact weapons. Once you get it the appearance drops off one of the fireland bosses. Don’t remember which because I usually just steamroll through there.
If I were to guess I would say the Druid traitor faro-something or other.
I could never get that to drop but thankfully I got the staff so I’m good. WoWhead shows those seeds at a 0.47% drop chance. Is that the Invincible of toys?
Yea, I think that is possible.
If so, that’s wild. I must have gotten it at some point on my warlock and just vendored it.
